A beautiful Brisbane destination wedding at Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens for a UK couple who fell in love with Brisbane City on a previous visit.
Their relaxed garden party ceremony on the Palm Tree Lawn at the lush botanical gardens featured an elegant white circle arbour, heartfelt personal vows and family readings, sunshine-filled moments, and a surprise shot toast to kick off the celebrations. See more of this Brisbane wedding here.
Once the marriage certificates were signed and the legalities taken care of by Celebrant Cara of Brisbane City Celebrants, before the coupe made their way back down the aisle together, they had a surprise for their guests.
Guests were asked to check under their chairs where they found a shot. The bride and groom joined their guests with the celebratory shot before they made their way back down the aisle together. SO MUCH FUN!
For couples planning from overseas, getting married in Australia is refreshingly simple — there’s no residency requirement, the Notice of Intended Marriage can be lodged remotely (this must be lodged with your Celebrant by 1 month prior to your wedding date), and passports are generally all that’s needed.
An Australian destination wedding can be easy, meaningful, and seriously fun! (shots are optional!)
After returning to celebrate with loved ones, everyone headed to the city, with the bride opting for a quick change of bridal dress, and a wander around Brisbane's wharves waterfront for some photos before all enjoying a relaxed dinner together.
