So A While Back I Posted A Casting Call For Lgbtq+ Couples (if I Missed Anything, I'm Sorry!!) Because I Had Received An Email From A Couple Wondering If I Was Ok With Photographing Them. I Never Even Thought About It, But It Made Me Sad That Some People Thought They Had To Ask If I Was Willing. Of Course I Am Willing. I Don't Care Who You Love, I'm Just Happy That You Found Someone To Love & To Love You Back. So After That I Decided I Needed To Make A Point Of Showing More Types Of Couples On My Website So That People Wouldn't Have To Ask. Things Got Crazy Busy And I Haven't Been Able To Fit Any Of Those Sessions In With My Travel Schedule, But Alyssa & Jenny Were One Of The First Couples I Made Plans To Shoot With & Since They Were Going To Be In The Mountains For Their Honeymoon (they Were Married On Saturday In Edmonton, Give Them A Big Congratulations), It Worked Out That I Would Be Able To Do Photos With Them! I'm Still Trying To Figure Out How & When To Fit In A Few Of The Other Sessions, But It's Going To Take Me A Few Months! Anyway, These Two Got Dressed Up Again & We Ventured Out To Peyto Lake To Do Photos. I Had A Great Time With Them (and Seriously Hoping There's No Grudges For What I Made Them Hike In Wedding Clothes Haha) & I Am Truly In Love With Their Photos! This One Especially! It Is Epic On So Many Levels! I Really Want To Thank Them For Taking The Time To Do This With Me When They Could Have Been Having An Easy Day On Their Honeymoon Haha So Please Share This Far & Wide!
Weihsi & Hugo Eloped In Lake Louise Yesterday With 2 Of Their Close Friends As Witnesses. We Had To Move Their Ceremony Out Of The Meadow At Lake Louise Because It Was Closed Due To Bear Activity, So We Ended Up Lakeside & It Was Lovely! We Got A Good Luck Sprinkle Of Rain Too! I Convinced Them That We Should Head To Peyto Lake For Photos Instead Of Moraine Lake... Show Them All The 😍😍😍 That We Made The Right Choice For Location!! Look At That Light!!
Oh Boy, I Am Falling Behind On Sneak Peeks. This Past Month Has Been Crazy & I'm Having Such A Hard Time Keeping Up! I Met Up With Catherine & Mark On Friday Evening At Lake Louise Where We Were Treated To The Usual Crazy Display Of Weather For June In Alberta... Then It Cleared Up & We Finished The Night In Relative Warmth In The Prettiest Of Light! Now, Let's Take A Guess How Many People We Were Sharing The Dock With While Taking These Photos? 10, 20, 100? You Tell Me!
I Am So Behind On Emails Lately... It's Been Head Down Trying To Keep Up With The Editing. I Almost Didn't Answer Kasey's E-mail In Time, But We Got Their Session Booked On Monday & We Shot Last Night! If You Have Been Emailing & Haven't Heard From Me Yet, Hang Tight! After Today's Wedding I Have 5 Days Off From Shooting So I Will Get Caught Up, Darnit! Now, Back To Kasey & Jeremy, Can You Believe They Climbed That Rock In Evening Wear In The Rain? Totally Epic!! This Is The Kind Of Photo That I Dream That Clients Will Print Huge To Hang On Their Wall! Now, I Know Not Everyone Is The Adventurous Type, But Would You Climb That Rock In The Rain In A Dress If You Knew You'd Get A Photo Like This? Inquiring Minds Want To Know!
Ok, So I Finally Stopped Snuggling The Cats & Got Out Of Bed. I Slowly Got Dressed And Just Poked Around For The Morning Because It's Been A While Since I've Had A Day Off At Home & I'm Feeling Pretty Lazy. I Got To Work & Answered A Good Chunk Of E-mails, Decided I Needed A Break From That, So I Started To Work On Editing This Elopement. Chrystal & Jared's Ceremony Looks Like It Was Just The Two Of Them In An Amazing Spot Saying Vows To Each Other (with Me & @patricksmiley, Of Course), But In Reality There Were About 40 People Above Us Watching Their Private Ceremony. Some Were Respectful & Quiet, Others Were Not. They Were Also Being Photographed By Complete Strangers As They Said I Do!. We All Try Really Hard To Make It Look Like You Are Alone In These Beautiful Locations, But The Reality Is... Well, It Just Doesn't Happen Often! There Are Almost Always People Around, Almost Always Someone Watching. Tag The One You'd Like To Run Away To Moraine Lake With!
A Few Unshared Images From One Of My Favorite Wedding Moments Of All Time. Dress Chasing - Great For The Dog And The Photographer, Maybe Not As Great For The Bride. 😋⠀
When You Think About Moraine Lake, Most People Envision That Crazy Blue Water. But The Area Has So Much More To Offer Than That! This Spot Is On The Backside Of The Rock Pile & Is Spectacular In It's Own Right! I Just Love The Trees & Rocky Mountain Views! I Might Just Love It More Than The Water! What About You? Which Do You Prefer? Trees & Mountains Or Water & Mountains?
I Love The Adventurous Photos Just As Much As The Next Person, But There's Still Something To Be Said For The Peacefulness Of An Alpine Meadow Nearing Sunset... So Darn Pretty!!
These Two Took Part In One Of My Signature Veils & Tails Sessions, Where The Bride-to-be Took Advantage Of Her Hair And Make-up Trial, And Got Dressed Up Along With Her Dog Of Honor, The Illustrious Joy. 🌸 ⠀

Most Of The Time I Get To Spend The Time With The Bride And Her Bridesmaids, But I Still like Being With The Groom And Groomsman. Both Are Completely Different Games And Energies And I Enjoy Both Of Them Equally.⠀ ⠀ 👉🏻 Follow @freireweddingphoto For More 💍⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀
