I Had The Honor To Do Hair And Makeup On This Photo Shoot With The Principal Dancers From The Diablo Ballet. Grier Cooper Photography Took The Amazing Photos, And The Location Was Ruby Hills Country Club, Located In Livermore, Ca. I Have Always Been Enamored Of Weddings, .ever Since I Was A Little Girl. The Part That Always Affected Me Most Was The Wedding Dresses. Cinderella Was My Favorite Story, And In My Disney Book, Her Wedding Dress Was Unlike Anything I Had Ever Seen. Doing Makeup For Brides Really Got My 'inner Romantic' Juices Flowing. I Used To Buy And Sell Vintage Wedding Dresses Every Now And Then, On Ebay When It Was Still A Brand New Website, And I Have Simply Picked Up Where I Left Off Years Ago. Now, However, I Have A Bit More Purpose: I Really Want To Help A Bride Find The Designer Dress Of Her Dreams, Which She May Not Actually Be Able To Afford, And Offer It To Her At A Fair And Reasonable Price. I Also Am A Huge Advocate Of Recycling Fashion, Both Wedding And Everyday Wear. Our Planet Won't Be Able To Handle The Toxic Dyes And Chemicals That Are Used In Producing Clothing For Much Longer. A Wedding Dress Is Only Worn For A Couple Of Hours - Why Should It Go Into Retirement? It Is Perfectly Capable Of Being Re-used Again. The Clothing Industry Is One Of The Huge Polluters Of Our Earth, And We Need To Reduce The Toxicality Of It Before We Poison Ourselves As Well. The Fashion Industry Is Starting To Work On This, Thankfully - But We Have A Long Way To Go, And One Of The Best Ways You Can Reduce Your Impact On The Planet (ahem, And Your Wallet!) Is To Buy A Pre-adored Wedding Dress. Funny, But The Majority Of My Dresses Are New With Tags. Brides Buy Their Gown, Lose Or Gain Too Much Weight, Change Their Venue And Need A Different Dress- Many Reasons That Allow Me To Buy Already Manufactured And Purchased, But Never Used Gowns. I Love That I Can Help Brides Wear Their Dream Dress, And Help The Earth Out As Well. It's A Win-win!
