There Are A Few Things I Really Love About My Job. I Get To Meet People From All Over & I Get To Hang Out With Them When They Are Having Really Awesome Days. Life Is Rough Over Here.⁠ ⁠ Last Night Was The Last One For Alex & Chloe For Their Visit In Banff National Park. Earlier In The Week Alex Proposed To Chloe At Moraine Lake & We Went There Last Night To Celebrate With Their Engagement Session. Now They Are Head Back Home To Nyc (and I'm Hoping I Can Convince Them To Shoot With Me There When I Go In December!). A Big Congratulations To Them!! And I Have To Add... The Best Part Of This Is Getting To Do A Butt Grab In A Public Place 😁🤣😜

You Aren't Elbow To Elbow With Tons Of Other People Like You Are At Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Emerald Lake Or Peyto Lake. It's A Great Spot If You're A Bit On The Shy-er Side.⁠ ⁠ It's Quiet & Peaceful. It's A Great Place For A Picnic! You Don't Have To Hike Up Steep Inclines. You Can Run Around & Be Playful And Not Worry About Breaking Bones.⁠ ⁠ There Are Epic Mountain Views & The Wildflowers Here Are Gorgeous!⁠ ⁠ There's Also A Really Pretty Lake If You're Into That Blue/green Mountain Water Thing.⁠ ⁠ There's So Much More To The Canadian Rockies... I Like To Imagine What Their Life Was Like, What The Rest Of The Town Looked Like Around That Building.⠀ .⠀ Here’s One Right Here In Lil Santa Barbara, Built In 1782! I Like To Think That This Newlywed Couple Followed In The Footsteps Of Generations Before Them, And Now They Are Part Of The Presidio’s Immense History.⠀

I've Been To Moraine Lake A Lot This Year And It's Always Changing. The Time Of Day, Thew Cloud Cover, The Light, The Wind, It All Changes How The Water Looks. Sometimes It's The Crazy Bright Blue, Sometimes It Almost Looks White (windy Days Where The Water Is Choppy Especially).⁠ ⁠ We Got A Mix Of Moraine For Taylor & Mark's Engagement Session Monday Night From The Super Blue To Nearly White. And We Got The Cold & The Wind. It Didn't Feel Like August... The Air Had An October Chill To It.⁠ ⁠ That Didn't Stop Them From Having Fun & It Gave Me The Chance To Wrap Them Up In A Blanket When We Came Down Off The Rock Pile! I Love Blanket Snuggle Photos, So When The Temperatures Drop, It Makes Sense To Snuggle Up!⁠ ⁠ I Had An Awesome Time With These Two! I'm Sad For Them That They Are Headed Back Home But Hopefully Will See Them Again Some Day In The Mountains! As For Me, I'm Back At Moraine Lake Again Tomorrow!

Driving Into Canmore From Calgary Yesterday Was.... Interesting. It Was Storming Pretty Hard. Lots Of Rain. In The Distance You Could See Small Patches Of Blue Sky. Well, I Never Found That Blue Sky. ⁠ ⁠ We Started Rochelle & Danick's First Look At Goat Pond Where It Was Raining Lightly. Then The Rain Came Harder. The Clouds Dropped Lower. The Mountains Disappeared. But We Continued On In The Rain & I Think We Got Some Great Photos!⁠ ⁠ We Headed Back Down The Mountain To Ceremony That Had Been Moved Inside. Rochelle & Danick Said I Do! In Front Of Family & Friends. The Rain Slacked Off A Little. After Family Photos Were Done, I Whisked Them Off To Try To Get A Little Time With Just The Two Of Them Where They Didn't Have To Hold Umbrellas.⁠ ⁠ We Wandered A Ridge That Overlooked Canmore. We Were Treated To Awesome Low Clouds & The Mountains Revealed Themselves Again. The Best Part Was A Man Came Out And Offered To Let Us Shoot In His Garden! How Lucky For Us To Mix The Colourful Garden With The Moody Mountain Landscape!⁠ ⁠ Most People Don't Hope For Rain On Their Wedding Day, But Rochelle & Danick Rolled With It & We Really Did Have The Most Lovely Day!

Friday Morning I Met Up With Allison & Zach At Lake Minnewanka For Their Wedding Photos... These Two Had Ran Off Previously With 2 Friends And Got Married At Starbucks (best Place!) Before Roadtripping It To The Mountains!⁠ ⁠ I'm Not A Morning Person But It Was Amazing To Go To Minnewanka In The Morning! It Was Just Perfect! We Got Reflections & Such Pretty Light! Friday Was The Day For Epic Reflections. Seriously. Everything Was So Perfectly Still. There Were Mirror Reflections Everywhere.⁠ ⁠ Kristen & Will Had Originally Planned To Get Married At Lake Louise & Go To Moraine Lake For Photos After. Then They Visited There Earlier In The Week And Saw What A Nuthouse It Could Be... And We Did A Location Change To Spray Lakes! I Couldn't Have Been Happier! We Had An Epic Location All To Ourselves For Their Ceremony With Both Sets Of Their Parents Witnessing, It Really Was Perfect!⁠ ⁠ Once The Ceremony Was Done And The Wine Was Drunk, We Sent Everyone Else Back Down The Mountain To Canmore While We Wandered For Photos. Truly Amazing Day!!

Whew! These Past Few Days Have Been Busy & I Just Can't Keep Up! We Are Going Back To Saturday For Bernadette & Max's Fabulous Wedding In Calgary!⁠ ⁠ I First Met These Two At Courtney & Jeremy's Wedding In Canmore Two Years Ago. I Remember Having A Bit Of A Girl Crush On Bernadette When I Met Her, She's Just So Darn Awesome (as Pretty Much Everyone Who Meets Her Knows) So I Was Super Stoked When They Got In Touch To Have Me Photograph Their Wedding! I Mean, They Suffered Through A Full Day With Me Back Then & Were Still Willing To Work With In Spite Of The Terrible Jokes Haha⁠ ⁠ Getting Ready Was A Dream. We Started The Day Off Beautifully & Then Had A Super Sweet First Look Before Doing Portraits & Family Photos Before Their Outdoor Ceremony. Summer Finally Decided To Show Up For The Day Too! All In All, It Was A Pretty Amazing Day Spent With A Whole Lot Of Amazing People Who I Hope To See Again!!

Driving To Lake Louise Yesterday, The Rain Was Coming Down Pretty Hard. I Was Thinking It Was Going To Be Another Day Of Battling The Rain. But The Weather Gods Smiled On Laura & Nick For Their Elopement Yesterday.⁠ ⁠ We Had Low Clouds & Brightness Of The Sun Trying To Fight Through... My Favourite Weather. It Was Chillier & That Kept People Away So Lake Louise Wasn't Too Crazy Busy For Their Ceremony!⁠ ⁠ After Wandering The Shores Of The Lake For A While, It Started To Sprinkle So We Headed Off To Emerald Lake For Canoe Photos. We Were Blessed With Magical Clouds & Still Waters... And The Best Part Was That Emerald Lake Wasn't Busy Either! Although, That Didn't Stop The Small Group Of People There From Frantically Taking Photos Of Laura & Nick During Our Portrait Session!⁠ ⁠ After Leaving The Lake, We Stopped To Play In The Road To Get Some Epic Car Photos (cause Look At That Car!!)... Again Luck Was On Our Side Because Traffic Was Light! What A Fantastic Day We Had!
