Ok, So I Finally Stopped Snuggling The Cats & Got Out Of Bed. I Slowly Got Dressed And Just Poked Around For The Morning Because It's Been A While Since I've Had A Day Off At Home & I'm Feeling Pretty Lazy. I Got To Work & Answered A Good Chunk Of E-mails, Decided I Needed A Break From That, So I Started To Work On Editing This Elopement.
Chrystal & Jared's Ceremony Looks Like It Was Just The Two Of Them In An Amazing Spot Saying Vows To Each Other (with Me & @patricksmiley, Of Course), But In Reality There Were About 40 People Above Us Watching Their Private Ceremony. Some Were Respectful & Quiet, Others Were Not. They Were Also Being Photographed By Complete Strangers As They Said "i Do!". We All Try Really Hard To Make It Look Like You Are Alone In These Beautiful Locations, But The Reality Is... Well, It Just Doesn't Happen Often! There Are Almost Always People Around, Almost Always Someone Watching.
Tag The One You'd Like To Run Away To Moraine Lake With!
A Few Unshared Images From One Of My Favorite Wedding Moments Of All Time. Dress Chasing - Great For The Dog And The Photographer, Maybe Not As Great For The Bride. 😋⠀
When You Think About Moraine Lake, Most People Envision That Crazy Blue Water. But The Area Has So Much More To Offer Than That! This Spot Is On The Backside Of The Rock Pile & Is Spectacular In It's Own Right! I Just Love The Trees & Rocky Mountain Views! I Might Just Love It More Than The Water!
What About You? Which Do You Prefer? Trees & Mountains Or Water & Mountains?
I Love The Adventurous Photos Just As Much As The Next Person, But There's Still Something To Be Said For The Peacefulness Of An Alpine Meadow Nearing Sunset... So Darn Pretty!!
These Two Took Part In One Of My Signature Veils & Tails Sessions, Where The Bride-to-be Took Advantage Of Her Hair And Make-up Trial, And Got Dressed Up Along With Her Dog Of Honor, The Illustrious Joy. 🌸 ⠀

Most Of The Time I Get To Spend The Time With The Bride And Her Bridesmaids, But I Still like Being With The Groom And Groomsman. Both Are Completely Different Games And Energies And I Enjoy Both Of Them Equally.⠀

When You Go To The Mountains To Get Married, You Don't Let A Little Bit Of Rain Stop You From Having Photos Outside!
I Actually Love The Reflections That You Get From A Rainy Day & Everything Just Looks So Fresh & Vibrant After A Rain Shower!
I'm Reminding Myself How I Actually Do Like Rain As A Storm Dumps An Abundance Of Water & Hail Outside Right Now!
I See These Amazing Views All The Darn Time & Yet I Still Think They Are Unreal. Like How Can A Place Like This Actually Exist? Look At It! This Background Looks Fake But I Know It's Not!
Do You Remember The First Time You Experienced The Canadian Rockies & How You Felt? If You Haven't Yet, Do You Plan On Visiting? Do Tell!
Some People Love Sunrise. Others Love Sunset.
I Prefer Sunset & The Magical Blue Hour Just After The Sun Drops Away. I'll Choose That Every Time.
I Also Seem To Enjoy Playing With Traffic & Standing In The Middle Of The Road A Lot.
What About You? If You Love Sunset Give Me A 🌝. If You Love Sunrise Give Me A 🌞.
Angie & Keith Eloped At @emeraldlakelodge Yesterday. The Sun Was Out In Full Force For Their Ceremony But Then The Clouds Magically Blew In For Most Of Our Portraits! Their Canoe Ride On The Lake Is Just Perfect!
It's Been A Little Quiet On My Ig For The Past Few Weeks... For A Few Reasons.
1. I Was Shooting Like Crazy, 5 Weddings In A Row!
2. I Flew Out To Kamloops For This Wedding In The Shuswaps.
3. A Couple Of My Hotels Had Terrible Wi-fi.
4. My Laptop Decided It Needed To Run 20 Slower Than It Used To So I've Been Spending Days Trying To Get It Fixed.
5. I'm Feel The Mid-summer Burnout. I Love All The Shooting But The Before & After Work Is Really Wearing On Me. The Travel Time Is Really Getting Me Down & I Can't Seem To Sleep Anymore. I've Booked A Bit Less For August So I Can Try To Get A Little Time Back For Myself To Shake This Feeling.
Last Weekend Was Fun Though, In Spite Of All Of The Stuff That's Going On With Me & The Crazy Weather That Was Repeatedly Thrown At Us For Courtney & Matt's Wedding. Luckily The Weather Cleared In The Evening! If You Have The Chance To Shoot At Sunset... Do It! Sunset & Blue Hour Are My Favourite Time Of Day!!
I Know It's The Middle Of Summer, So Why In The World Am I Showing Winter Photos?
I Actually Love Shooting In The Winter. My Favourite Time To Be At @emeraldlakelodge Is When It's Full Of Snow. For The This Elopement, The Ceremony Was Supposed To Be At The Viewpoint... But There Was No View And The Snow Was So High There Was Nowhere For Me To Stand For Me To Be Able To See Them... So I Picked This Spot In Front Of The Cabin With A Snow Covered Tree Making An Arch And That's Where We Did The Ceremony! When You Don't Have Guests & Are Truly Eloping, There's So Many Options! This Is One Of My Favourite Ceremonies From Emerald Lake!
Are You Thinking About A Winter Wedding? I'd Love To Be The One To Freeze With You & Make Some Snowy Magic!
