They Were Joined By About 40 Uninvited Guests Watching From Above & I Had To Yell At People To Give Them A Little Space To Have Their Ceremony Without A Bunch Random Weirdos Crowding Around & Being In The Background... Call Me Crazy (i've Been Called Worse Than That!), But In The Afternoon Before Isis & Nick's Elopement At Moraine Lake On Tuesday, I Met Up With Hailee & Tom For Their Engagement Session!⁠ ⁠ Things Could Have Gone Terribly Wrong Since The Shuttle In Was Going To Take Two Hours To Get On & I Had No Service When I Was Out There To Know They Couldn't Get There, But Luck Was On Their Side When The Nice Parks People At The Gate Let Them In! Moraine Lake Is Gorgeous But It's A Hard Spot To Plan For Photos! You Just Never Know If You'll Be Able To Get In!⁠ ⁠ We'd Also Been Chatting About Photos For A While & It Turns Out Tom Popped The Big Question On Friday So Their Session Ended Up Being An Engagement! And How About The Fact That Tom Is Just Holding Hailee In This Carry/dip Like It Takes No Effort At All???

My First Time Shooting At Waterfowl Lakes & We Got The Magical Light As The Sun Was Setting Behind The Mountains. It Was The Perfect Way To End The Day With Nikia & Jonathan!⁠ ⁠ My Favourite Part Of Elopements Is That We Can Plan To Shoot With The Best Light Because You Aren't Worried About Making Your Guests Wait For Dinner (although Poor Jonathan Was Starving At This Point Haha). We Gte To Plan The Day Around Getting You The Best Pictures Possible While Having The Best Time Ever!

This Is A Fun Pose To Do. The Couple Is Always A Bit Taken Back When I Ask The The Guy To Lay On The Ground Facing Me. When I Ask The Girl, To Say On Top Of Him They Really Think I'm Making This Up On The Fly. Then The Girl On Top Needs To Slide Up His Back So Their Heads Are Parallel With Each Other. Whew! It's Been Quiet Here For A Few Days! I Was In Calgary For The Weekend For Tina & Melvin's Wedding! I Got Home Sunday & I Think The Busy Season Finally Caught Up With Me. Last Night I Photographed A Proposal At Moraine Lake. Because Moraine Is So Hard To Get Into & There's No Way To Contact Any One Because There's No Cell Service, I Met Up With Amal & Harini & We Drove Into Together. He Told Her That He Booked A Photo Session For Them So It Wasn't A Total Surprise.⁠ ⁠ We Started With A Few Photos Along The Way Up The Rock Pile & I Let Them Stop To Take In The View. We Jumped Into A Few More Photos Because I Kinda Wanted Harini To Not Be Expecting The Proposal When It Came. We Waited It Out For A Nice Spot That Was Semi-secluded. Then I Said We'd Do A Few Individual Photos... This Gave Amal The Chance To Grab The Ring Box & Get Ready. I Had Harini Turn To Look At At The Lake And Do That Insta Photo That Everyone Does... 😁⁠ ⁠ Amal Approached, They Hugged, Then He Dropped To One Knee & Asked The Big Question!! Of Course Harini Said Yes! The Best Part Was Watching Her Excitement & Her Fighting Off The Tears... So Truly Happy!! You Could Just See Her Glowing For The Rest Of The Night! I Joke A Lot About How You Never Know What You're Going To Get In The Mountains. It Can Be So Unpredictable... Maybe The Unpredictability Is Predictable?⁠ ⁠ Yesterday Was Looking To Have Lovely Weather (well, In My World Lovely Means Not Too Hot And Clouds, But Bright Clouds) For Kerri & Jason's Wedding At Emerald Lake Lodge. As The Ceremony Was Starting There Was A Shift And The Darker Clouds Blew In. There Were A Few Well-timed Booms Of Thunder During The Ceremony And The Lightening Flashes Were Close By. And The Rain Came. Out Came The Umbrellas & We Carried On With The Ceremony.⁠ ⁠ Once The Ceremony Was Done Everyone Ran To The Clubhouse To Wait Out The Rain... But You Can Only Wait So Long. We Did Family Photos With The Family Under The Overhang Of The Club House And I Stood Out In The Rain. We Made Use Of The Clear Umbrellas For Wedding Party Photos. You Can't Stop Because Of The Weather, Just Gotta Make The Most Of It!⁠ ⁠ We Got A Bit Of A Break In The Rain & Ventured Out For Kerri & Jason's Portraits.
