Since It’s A Relatively Remote Area, Their Air Bnb Host Dropped Them Off And While They Were Hiking, It Started Raining Heavily. Jennifer Was In The Middle Of Taking Pictures Of The Misty Trail When She Turned Around To See Michael Proposing On One Knee! After Saying Yes, Of Course, She And Michael Finished Hiking The Trail And Arrived To The Finish Line To Find A Japanese Man Handing Them Yuzu Fruit. They Chalked It Up To An Engagement Gift And Started Planning The Next Chapter Of Their Lives Together.

I Was Up Bright & Early Yesterday Morning To Get On The Road To Banff For Monique & Shaun's Wedding. I'm Not A Good Morning Person Usually (ever Actually... I Had Set Like 5 Alarms & Even Made Derek Wake Up To Call Me To Be Sure I Was Awake & Didn't Sleep In To Miss Their Wedding), But Luckily These Two Were Fun & The Combination Of Fall Colours & Lake Minnewanka Really Perked Me Up Haha.

When You Think Of An Early Fall Wedding, You Really Don't Expect There To Be Snow & For It To Be So Darn Cold! Brie & Greg Did A Great Job Of Letting It Show How Cold It Was As They Cuddle Dup In The Field Taking In A Tiny Bit Of Sun! They Actually Look Warm & Cozy... But Boy Did The Weather Turn For The Ceremony Afterwards!! ⁠ ⁠ I Kinda Forgot This Weekend Was Thanksgiving... But I'm Actually Back Home Now & Can Enjoy The Day Off With Derek Tomorrow! I've Been Wanting To Shoot Moraine Lake When It's Been Freshly Covered In A Blanket Of Snow For Ages. It's Caught Flurries & A Flash Blizzard, But I Haven't Been Able To Get It When There Is A Real Good Layer Of Snow Down. I've Also Been Dreaming About Seeing It When It's Fully Frozen, Not Covered In Snow & That Gorgeous Blue Was Showing Through. Well, That Dream Came True Today. I Convinced Angelica & Juan To Change Location For Their Engagement Session So We Could Go To Moraine! Moraine Lake, On A Good Summer Day, Can Be Tricky To Navigate. Well Add A Ton Of Snow & Ice & It's Kinda Treacherous To Navigate. The Stairs Up The Rock Pile Were Pure Ice. We Walked Off Trail A Good Bit To Avoid Sliding. It Was Hard To Move Around, I Didn't Want Them To Have To Change Footing A Lot For Fear Of Falls. There Definitely Is A Reason Moraine Is Closed For The Winter. We Heard Multiple Ice Booms & A Rock Slide Or Two While We Were There Too!⁠ ⁠ I'm Now Ready For Moraine Lake To Close & I Look Forward To Heading Back There Next Year For More Elopements, Proposals & Engagements! Thanks For All The Awesome Moraine! Enjoy A Sleepy Winter!
