i Know I Say This A Lot But This Day Was Such A Dream! Abby & Rob Chose Westers Family Vineyard In Rives Junction As Their Venue And It Was Stunning. The Amount Of Detail They Put Into Their Wedding Day Really Showcased Them Both Personally And As A Couple. I Loved That They Chose To Use Fall Colors For Their Summer Wedding- It Was So Unique To See This Time Of Year. All Of The Groomsmen Wore Dark Green Suits While The Bridesmaids Were In Terracotta With Matching Florals.

abby Had Taken Such Care When Choosing Decor Details Throughout Their Venue. They Had Grade School Pictures Of Them Used As Table Numbers, Which Was A Sweet Throwback To See. Abby And Rob Had Their Engagement Photos Hanging Up Throughout The Venue- It Was Very Art Gallery-esque! Abby Incorporated Some Decorations Her Students Had Made In Class. They Had Written Out A Sentence About What Love Was And They Were All Pinned On A Board Near Their Head Table. The Couple Also Had Incorporated Special Moments Of Their Lives Through A Crossword Puzzle Guests Could Solve Right Next To The Bar. It Was Definitely A Fun Little Touch To Add, And It Was Almost Finished By The Time I Left For The Night!

 november 2024 Was A Time Of Collaboration. With Wedding Season officially Over For Me, I Was Still Itching To Be Behind The Camera Before The Weather Got Too Cold For Work. My Friends Over At Rise Wander Retreat Hosted An Evening For Us Creatives To Get Together And Celebrate The End Of Our Wedding Seasons. I Jumped At The Opportunity To Attend Because Meadowbrook Hosts The Most Beautiful Wedding Days And I Have Always Wanted To Shoot There!

the Experience Of Meadowbrook Really Starts On The Drive Into The Property. The Estate Itself Is Tucked Into A Quiet Public Park And Driving Through Those Front Gates Of The Manor Was An Exciting Experience. It's Such An Opulent Estate With Many Options For Your Ceremony And Reception Space. The Exterior Of The Manor Has Beautiful Stonework And Tudor-inspired Architecture. It's So Different Than Any Of The Other Manor Venues In Michigan. With The Cold Weather Moving Into Michigan I Was Worried It Might Be A Bit Drab, But The Estate Was Already Starting To Prep For Christmas. The Day Was Also Perfectly Grey And Overcast Creating A Moody Vibe I Don't Normally Work With. 

we Met Through Michael’s Stepsister, Who Was My High School Friend. She Invited Me To One Of His Soccer Games, And I Couldn’t Resist Teasing Him When He Missed A Goal. He Fired Back With Some Flirty Banter, And From That Moment, There Was A Spark. A Few Months Later, His Stepsister Invited Me To A Raptors Game Because They Had An Extra Ticket. After That, We Started Talking All The Time, Quickly Becoming Close Friends. Over Five Months, Those Feelings Of Friendship Deepened, And We Finally Admitted How We Felt About Each Other.

When We Found Out There Was A Greek Church In The Bahamas, We Knew It Was Perfect—a Beautiful Blend Of Both Our Dreams. It Was A Decision That Reflected Not Just Our Love For Each Other, But Also The Way We’ve Always Found The Perfect Balance Together.

Bringing Our Traditions To The Bahamas Was Something That Was Also Very Important To Us. But We Didn’t Know What To Expect Trying To Orchestrate A Traditional Orthodox Wedding In This Tropical Paradise, But The Experience Surpassed Our Expectations.

from The Charming Blue And White Greek Church To Our Toronto Band Playing Lively Greek And Macedonian Melodies, Every Detail Resonated With Our Heritage. Even The Traditional Pig Dance Was Infused With Bahamian Flair, Creating A Unique Blend Of Cultures. Our Heartfelt Gratitude Goes To Our Dedicated Team, Whose Efforts Turned Our Vision Into A Breathtaking Reality. Choosing Sapodilla As Our Reception Venue Was One Of The Best Decisions We Made For Our Wedding. The Estate’s Breathtaking Ambiance Provided The Perfect Backdrop For Our Celebration.

working With Our Own Wedding Planner Fidan From Designed Dream, Who Worked Closely With The Venue Coordinator And All Other Vendors Had Made The Planning Process Seamless, Helping Us Navigate All The Pieces For Our Special Day. An Added Bonus Was Seeing The Staff Genuinely Excited And Engaged During Our Traditional Customs Which Added An Extra Layer Of Joy To The Experience.
