My Father Passed Away Yesterday. So Many Feelings But The Strongest Is Gratitude. .my Siblings And I Were All With Him When He Passed And For The Last Hours Of His Life (and The Last Several Weeks), With Our Stories, Words Of Love, And Tears. I Laid My Head On His Chest While We Listened To “i Loved Her First”, The Song We Danced To At My Wedding. .dad's Last Act In This World Was Consistent With His Actions Throughout His Life. He Used All Of His Energy To Express His Love To Us, Mouthing Repeatedly I Love You. When We Spoke Those Words And He Knew We Heard Him, He Let Go. .it Was Everything.. Sad And Hard And The Most Powerfully Beautiful Moment Of My Life. My Heart Is Broken But I’m Very Very Grateful I Was With Him And That We’ve Been Able To Have These Weeks With / For Him And For Us. .this Life Is Beautiful, Even In Times Of Loss.
