This editorial aimed to showcase everything Santorini has to offer in a sophisticated, elegant and stylish manner. As a photographer and videographer, I aim to capture everything in a beautifully bright, timeless and dreamy way, which perfectly lent itself to this stunning destination.
The inspiration came from Santorini itself, utilising the incredible landscapes, architecture and culture. The editorial started with a sunset boat photoshoot, cruising along the ocean with the sun sparkling on the water.
The main wedding celebration was held at The Diamond Rock, a luxurious Santorini wedding venue overlooking the ocean. It’s nestled on the edge of the Caldera Cliff in Oia, offering breathtaking views in a quiet and peaceful setting. Simply put, it’s the most enchanting and picturesque backdrop for your wedding but with a sense of calm and privacy, so you can truly enjoy an intimate celebration with your loved ones.
You can spend your wedding morning lounging in the sunshine by the pool, before getting ready for the most elegant wedding preparation photos among the palm tree shadows.
Where you’ll say “I do” is one of the most breathtaking views, overlooking the ocean and standing underneath a stunning canopy lined with beautiful florals. Not to mention the opportunity to capture those iconic Santorini domed roof top photos, and the incredible sunset and golden light that enchants this venue every day.
The primary colour palette for the main wedding was blush pinks, whites and gold, bringing effortless luxury and sophistication. The florals at this editorial were just exquisite! Beautiful pink roses and delicate gypsophila covered the archway canopy and dining table, adding to the breathtaking view even more.
The subtle pink and purple undertones created such a harmonious look. It was almost as if the colours subtly shifted in the beautifully changing light.
Finally, the last morning was spent getting up early for sunrise to explore the perfect streets of Santorini. With gorgeous architecture, coloured buildings, rooftops and castle views, it’s just like a postcard!
For this luxury 3 day Santorini wedding our Bride had multiple stunning wedding gowns. The first had a dramatic cape and puff sleeves by Kimberley Stone Atelier. She wore this for the majority of the celebration, including on the boat and the rooftop villa views.
For the wedding ceremony she wore a unique lace dress and corset by Liz Martinez Bridal; a stunning dress with long sleeves paired with a vintage style veil. The evening then brought out a dazzling glitter dress created by Gibson Bespoke. This was such a breathtaking look, sparkling away in the sunset.
The final dress was worn when exploring the beautiful streets of Santorini. It had delicate lace and sparkle, with long sleeves and a stunning train.
Beautiful bridal details included unique feathered Bella Belle heels paired with mesmerising pearlescent earrings.
Our Groom wore a casual white shirt and black trousers on the boat, moving to a more luxury feel for the rest of the celebrations. He wore a black tie fitted suit for the big day, starting with a white jacket and moving to a classy black version in the evening.
Santorini really speaks for itself with the incredible views, postcard perfect streets and soft sunsets.
As a destination wedding photographer and videographer, I adore making the most of every couple's chosen location, from the landscapes, architecture, culture and activities.
If you're looking for someone to capture your wedding in a beautifully bright, timeless and authentic way, I'd love to hear from you!
