I have always loved bringing people together to celebrate and make life long memories. After college, I got into corporate event planning and made the transition into wedding planning about 5 years later. I made the transition because I wanted to take my love for events and put it to use serving people, and making their life better in some way.
I started Your Perfect Bridesmaid in 2008, smack in the middle of the horrible recession. I was seeing couples struggle and I was seeing how stressful navigating the wedding planning process was on them. I just knew there had to be a better way to plan a wedding, so I launched YPB in hopes of helping couples by creating that "better way". Fast forward to today. I have spent the past 11 years pouring my heart and soul into our clients and their wedding day, and I am so thankful to still be here, doing what I love every day.
At YPB, we are driven by our beliefs. They are the backbone of our company and they guide us in how we do things. We feel it is these beliefs that stand us apart.

We've got your back! We put a lot of heart and love into our clients' weddings. You become a member of our family and we fight very hard to deliver the absolute best for you. We wear many hats thru the wedding process. We are your cheerleader, your idea generator, your team captain, your etiquette adviser, family mediator, stationery proofreader, your nerve calmer, your sanity checker your go-to listener and re-assurer. We’ll support you and advocate for you as we guide you thru the entire planning process. We will also manage the wedding day from set up to tear down to ensure every detail is just as you envisioned!
Going with YPB allowed us to have our perfect wedding. When we signed up for our package, The Signature which is their complete day-of coordination, we were looking for someone to coordinate set up and keep the schedule moving on the day of, but we got so much more than that. From planning meetings, vendor suggestions, and vendor/schedule management, we'd consider the price we paid for the service a complete bargain. We worked with Miranda and from the first call to our big day she was thoughtful, detail-oriented and communicative. If all the lead planners are like Miranda, I'd recommend YPB for whatever your wedding coordinator needs are.
Planning: Trying to wed on a budget so we didn't sign up for a planning package, so there was still lots of work we had to do ourselves. BUT leaning on the expertise of YPB was critical to the entire planning process. Early on, the planning docs and contract reviews were incredibly helpful to steer you in the right direction or keep a schedule. There were a few aspects we just weren't thinking of where YPB were able to gently point out and help problem solve and even suggest vendors. We signed nearly a year before our wedding, and the entire process we never felt like they forgot about us. We had regular check-ins that were extremely helpful. But what was most helpful in the planning process were the one-off check ins that weren't scheduled that we needed. For example, Miranda joined vendor calls with us to help with run of show questions.
Day Of: We literally didn't have to worry about a thing. Set up looked like it went so smoothly. So a HUGE shoutout to Miranda, our coordinator throughout the process, and Lexi as an extra set of hands and help. Our day was perfect and I couldn't imagine it going that smooth if we had to do all this by ourselves.
My recommendation: If you're planning a wedding, I'd say a day-of coordinator is a must and YPB is perfectly set up to help you plan your perfect day!
Having a wedding cordinator is a must! If you are doing anything and don’t want to stress about timeline, need help, advice, and ensure you have someone whose entire focus is to ensure you have the best day then get a wedding cordinator. It has been awesome working with your perfect bridesmaid. The service goes beyond the cordinator it comes with an online portal with many resources. We worked with Lauren! She went above and beyond and was so fun to have her support through the planning process. She was the best and I would recommend her a many times over!
We hired Lexi Kerr from Your Perfect Bridesmaid for our June, 2024 wedding and she was EXCELLENT! We worked with her for about 6 months leading up to our big day and she was attentive and helped us stay on track with our planning. On our wedding day, we were able to be present and enjoy ourselves while she took care of every detail (even bringing us leftover food and cake to our hotel room so we could eat at the end of the night!). Our wedding was absolutely perfect all thanks to Lexi. I am very "type A" and have a hard time delegating tasks to other people, however, I felt 110% confident and trusting in Lexi's ability to coordinate our wedding and she did not disappoint. I would, and will, recommend her to anyone getting married in the Portland area and beyond.
My partner and I had an incredible experience working with YPB! We live in California, and Kim helped us find our venue in Oregon and made the process very easy -- we were able to view around 7 venues within the same week and picked one out the week after. After we picked the venue, we decided to get full-service wedding planning, and Kim connected us with Sam, who was the absolute best. I've heard a few stories from friends who had terrible full-service wedding planners, and Sam was far from that. Sam helped design the color scheme and decor, which we had very minimal feedback on, she kept us on track with everything for a whole year leading up to the wedding and helped us find vendors within our budget, we were able to ship her items from CA so that we wouldn't have to bring them with us, she worked some magic to get the venue to approve real candles for our reception when they said it wasn't allowed, and she kept us absolutely sane and optimistic when the weather turned on us and it rained on our wedding day. Sam had our full trust that she was trying the best she could to help bring our vision to life. For example, she and the venue had set up chairs outside in case the rain did magically go away (it didn't), but we really appreciated the effort to try to make an outdoor ceremony happen when the forecast wasn't indicating so. Without Sam, there is zero chance we would've been as stress-free and happy as we were the week of our wedding and on the day-of. We're going to miss talking to her! Thank you, Sam and YPB!!!
One of the best things that we did for our wedding was to hire Your Perfect Bridesmaid as our wedding planners. If you're debating it, DO IT! The numerous tools and resources that they provide are worth it. From the get go, we felt taken care of. Our planner, Nicolle Brown, went above and beyond to help us plan out every detail and coordinate the day of. We weren't stressed at all because we were confident in our trust of Nicolle to take care of everything. We don't live in Washington and the process was so smooth because of Nicolle. They have really thought of it all and I would highly recommend them! Very professional and thorough. Communication was excellent.
We worked with Laura who was phenomenal. Went above and beyond, and made our day truly special.
