I have always loved bringing people together to celebrate and make life long memories. After college, I got into corporate event planning and made the transition into wedding planning about 5 years later. I made the transition because I wanted to take my love for events and put it to use serving people, and making their life better in some way.
I started Your Perfect Bridesmaid in 2008, smack in the middle of the horrible recession. I was seeing couples struggle and I was seeing how stressful navigating the wedding planning process was on them. I just knew there had to be a better way to plan a wedding, so I launched YPB in hopes of helping couples by creating that "better way". Fast forward to today. I have spent the past 11 years pouring my heart and soul into our clients and their wedding day, and I am so thankful to still be here, doing what I love every day.
At YPB, we are driven by our beliefs. They are the backbone of our company and they guide us in how we do things. We feel it is these beliefs that stand us apart.

With our "little pink book", we provide our clients a customized list of vendor recommendations based on their unique needs, style and budget.

We wear many hats thru the wedding process. We are your cheerleader, your idea generator, your team captain, your etiquette adviser, family mediator, stationery proofreader, your nerve calmer, your sanity checker your go-to listener and re-assurer. We’ll support you and advocate for you as we guide you thru the entire planning process. We will also manage the wedding day from set up to tear down to ensure every detail is just as you envisioned!
Erika was the main coordinator for our wedding and she was great! I am still in awe that we pulled off my dream wedding despite COVID and Washington state restrictions. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding day! I felt so relaxed and the timeline went so smoothly! Having Erika and the YPB team there made me feel at ease and comfortable throughout the day. Even during the planning stages of our wedding, Erika and Kim were very responsive and providing ideas and recommendations. We weren’t able to have a formal reception due to COVID restrictions so instead we rented an AirBnB to have dinner and the way the YPB team set it up was just perfect with such attention to detail. I highly recommend them!
The YPB team is absolutely AMAZING! I can't recommend them enough. From the start they were extremely responsive, helpful and just all around fun to work with. Planning a wedding can be stressful and overwhelming, but every time I spoke with our coordinator Kim, I instantly felt at ease and knew everything was going to be perfect (and it was!). She not only made our dream wedding happen, she made sure we enjoyed ourselves every step of the way. The YPB team really cares about their clients and wants to give them the best experience possible, and as stress free as possible. It genuinely felt like having a best friend with us every step of the way. I love Kim and the YPB team, and will be forever grateful for everything they did for us. 11/10 would recommend.
I hired Katelyn from YPB because my sister recommended the company after she got married. I knew I was going to want help on the day of - but little did I know how much I absolutely needed it. Everyone thinks of the necessities of a wedding - floral, photography, DJ, seating chart, etc - but a must on that list is a wedding planner. Throughout the entire year of planning Katelyn was always a text or email away to ease any worries away. She was calm, understanding, and knows the business so well that it made such a foreign process to me actually fun.
My wedding was in the middle of December - meaning it was the end of a crazy busy season for Katelyn, and right in the middle of the holidays. She did not waiver once. To give context, my wedding party consisted of 10 people on each side and we had a total of 155 guests. My husband and I are both known to have fun and this wedding was not an exception. It was a party, which for most started far before the ceremony. The chaos turned up real quick, but instead of me having to stress about anything Katelyn stepped in and got everything under control. At one point I went to the back room to touch up my makeup and the poor girl was sitting back there with her assistant Sam and both were sweating bullets while trying to rehydrate to get back into the crazy. They were relentless and so incredibly hard working.
I was truly on cloud nine. I made it my mission to be able to say hi to each guest that came in and dance with everyone, she made it her mission to always keep my wine glass full, make sure I ate, make sure I never heard of any of the drama, and make sure the timeline stuck on track. She is a God send.
In summary, no matter what your budget is, make sure you delegate some of it for a wedding planner from Your Perfect Bridesmaid. You will not regret it.
Our wedding day was amazing thanks to Your Perfect Bridesmaid. We didn't have to worry about a thing knowing their day of coordination could take care of everything. We just showed up and enjoyed our perfect day. They are the best planners - if you're on the fence BOOK THEM and you won't regret it!
