I have always loved bringing people together to celebrate and make life long memories. After college, I got into corporate event planning and made the transition into wedding planning about 5 years later. I made the transition because I wanted to take my love for events and put it to use serving people, and making their life better in some way.
I started Your Perfect Bridesmaid in 2008, smack in the middle of the horrible recession. I was seeing couples struggle and I was seeing how stressful navigating the wedding planning process was on them. I just knew there had to be a better way to plan a wedding, so I launched YPB in hopes of helping couples by creating that "better way". Fast forward to today. I have spent the past 11 years pouring my heart and soul into our clients and their wedding day, and I am so thankful to still be here, doing what I love every day.
At YPB, we are driven by our beliefs. They are the backbone of our company and they guide us in how we do things. We feel it is these beliefs that stand us apart.

We wear many hats thru the wedding process. We are your cheerleader, your idea generator, your team captain, your etiquette adviser, family mediator, stationery proofreader, your nerve calmer, your sanity checker your go-to listener and re-assurer. We’ll support you and advocate for you as we guide you thru the entire planning process. We will also manage the wedding day from set up to tear down to ensure every detail is just as you envisioned!
Katelyn was our lead wedding planner from start to finish. I felt totally taken care of, and catered to during the entire planning process and event execution. And I was so impressed with Katelyn's ability to attend to and transition between the big picture and the details effortlessly. She had a very gentle way to remind me what I needed to get to done when I was behind schedule, and to take on any last minute requests I had without making me feel as though I was asking for something I shouldn’t ask for. Nothing was insurmountable.
We were able to take pleasure in the entire day without worrying one bit about how it might go, because Katelyn had everything on control.
My experience with Your Perfect Bridesmaid was a dream come true, as was my wedding, thanks in large part to their help. Maja Trucco was my day-of coordinator, and she went so far above and beyond every step of the way. She was so detail-oriented and on top of everything that I was able to put my complete trust in her, and the execution was flawless. She was incredibly sweet and fun to work with, and I truly miss her now that it’s all over. Her associates, Sam, during the planning process, and Ashley, on the wedding day were invaluable as well. I ended up having more vision than I had thought, but there was so much that they brought to my attention and they came up with wonderful ideas beforehand and handled it all so beautifully. I am forever grateful and cannot say enough great things!
About halfway through wedding planning I realized how the aspects of planning and execution are two completely separate beasts, and that I was not even remotely equipped (nor did I have any desire) to be the person making sure everything got executed correctly on the day of our wedding. Enter YPB. When we read through the package descriptions on YPB’s website, we thought we were signing up to have a few pre-wedding conversations with a coordinator to get them in the loop and that our coordinator would be present on the day of our wedding to be point person and to keep everything on track, which sounded just perfect. I am not exaggerating when I say we received INFINITELY more support than what we expected, and what a massive positive impact working with YPB had on our wedding planning and execution process.
Our coordinator, Shannon O., was the absolute perfect match for us and for our wedding, both in terms of her approach and her nature. She was so knowledgeable and exceptionally skillful about her work, and just incredibly supportive and warm and genuinely caring about us. Our meetings with her were so constructive - she made us feel so comfortable and really understood our vision, even when it wasn’t fully formed. She kept us on track with such thoroughness, attention to detail, and patience, and after each of our meetings she followed up with us on next steps, giving us really clear guidance and gentle nudges where needed. She coached us through tricky situations, offering suggestions for questions to ask vendors, ideas for creative problem solving, and a sense of humor to keep us grounded. She really knew our wedding inside and out and took such wonderful care of us at every step. The experience that Shannon provided for us so hugely exceeded our expectations - and not just because at the start we didn’t fully comprehend all that was going to be included - but because she went so far above and beyond to make sure we were supported, heard, well taken care of, comfortable (physically and mentally), and the list just goes on and on. When the wedding day arrived, Shannon had every last detail under control yet embodied a sense of calm and flexibility that really set the perfect tone. She truly made the experience of planning and executing our wedding so successful and pleasant, and we were beyond fortunate and grateful to have her be a part of our day!
I cannot stress enough what a wonderful experience it was from start to finish working with YPB, and how thrilled we were with every aspect of the extremely well-thought out services they provide. Communication is prompt, on-boarding swift, resources abundant and highly useful (vendor suggestions, spreadsheets, budgeting tools, etc.), staff highly competent, and support unending. If you’re on the fence about whether or not you need a coordinator or whether or not it’s worth it - you do, and it is. Go with YPB - you will not regret it!

We started our wedding planning and instantly knew we needed to hire someone to help us with our out of town wedding. We reached out to YPB and within a couple of days Kim paired us with Lexi. I cannot express enough how much weight Lexi took of our shoulders during this entire planning process. She put the joy back into our planning with her expertise on vendors, design and helpful resources (i.e. budget planning, recommendations on timelines, overall expectations with current wedding market). We worked with the amazing Miranda as our wedding day-of-coordinator. Hands down my husband and I agree our best wedding planning decision was bringing Miranda (aka YPB) on board. She completely changed the game- both in the planning process and on the day of our wedding!! She is dedicated, sweet, organized, and so incredibly helpful. She kept our planning timeline on track, provided vendor recommendations, coordinated all the logistics, kept us calm, managed any hiccups day-of, and so much more!
