Sachin - the ultimate planner - had been planning his proposal for several months, completely unbeknownst to Kandy.  Finally, the perfect opportunity presented itself at the end of Kandy's neurology block after she took her last menacing exam.  She would have no clue...it was go time!

Sachin coordinated with Kandy's roommate and waited patiently until Kandy was out of her apartment to get set-up for the big day.  By the time he was done, the room was transformed and filled with the utmost romantic ambiance. Tick-tock...tick-tock...he waited again with each minute feeling like an hour as the moment he prepared so hard for was literally at his fingertips where he held the ring gently.

Kandy arrived at her apartment with just about every medical term going through her mind from her last exam.  She opened the door and walked into rose petals all over the floor, orange and red roses all over the apartment, her favorite bottle of Wine, Champagne, and a Heart-Shaped New York Style Cheesecake (her favorite) with the words "Will You Marry Me?" on it.  Standing right next to the romantic display was Sachin wearing a bright orange shirt singing along to the background music of U2's "All I Want Is You".  

Moments later...with true chivalry he got down on one knee and requested Kandy to be his life partner forever.  After Kandy stopped hyperventilating...she said "YES!!".  Of course she made sure she asked whether her family knew before-hand . The two lovebirds called both of their families and visited them all that night to celebrate!
