A Blue Ocean Intimate Elopement At Isla Mujeres

Love knows no boundaries and for this lovely couple, it was a dream come true to elope on the stunning Isla Mujeres. Planning began in March and by May 30th 2022, they were ready to embark on their journey together.

From the very beginning, they knew exactly what they wanted: Isla Mujeres - a cliff view, a sea view, a romantic dinner, and most importantly, to spend the weekend together. Felicia's Greek roots inspired them to lead us to look for a venue with Mediterranean characteristics and they found the perfect house, situated next to a cliff, with everything they had envisioned.

The couple was open to all suggestions, making it easy to visualize their big day. Unfortunately, the weekend they chose was marred by a storm. It was cloudy all weekend and even on the day of the ceremony, it rained in the morning. But just in time for the ceremony, the rain stopped and the sun came out! it was a true blessing.

The wind was too strong to hold the ceremony closer to the shore, so they decided to make the most of the garden and the view of the sea as their backdrop. One of the requests for the ceremony was the binding of hands, a tradition in many cultures.

In Greek weddings, there are specific moments that are repeated in every ceremony. The first is the crowning, where each partner wears a white crown that is joined together to symbolize their union and their reign as kings and queens of their own family. The second is the exchange of rings, which represents the commitment and promise of fidelity between the couple.

After an incredible photo session with stunning views, the lovely couple returned and had their first dance as newlyweds. Following that, they enjoyed a delicious, romantic candlelit dinner prepared by the villa's chef. The simple touches of decoration on the table, along with the overall Mediterranean-inspired decor of the house, created a warm and inviting ambiance despite the breezy weather. Lastly, they had the traditional wedding cake, symbolizing abundance in their new life together as a married couple. A new chapter in their lives begins, full of love and joy.
