Kona Kai, Lobster & That Florida Keys Wedding Photographer
That Florida Keys Wedding Photographer is Nada Khalaf-Jones, ok we get that. but Lobsters? What?
Rewind to the beginning. The happy, now Mr & Mrs Kelly, Kayla & Joseph, came to me through the best pathway. It was totally by design. And completely luck all at the same time.
Kona Kai is a photographers dream location. Small, intimate, botanically lush and private. But I'm side tracked. The short story: if we had never photographed that one real estate brokerages Christmas photos that one year we would never have met the GM of Kona Kai Botanical Resort & Art Gallery. And this would not be a blog you are loving to see and read.
The day began perfectly, as all weddings should. But the question in all our minds was why a morning wedding in this heat. Then it became clear. They really wanted to spend the afternoon napping and then the evening paddling, eating and enjoying the Florida Keys, before heading back north. Smart. Talk about optimising your stay in this idyllic 13 suite, adults only botanical haven.
Mostly our weddings start around 4pm and end at around 10pm. But this group changed it all up, we launched at 10 am and I, personally, loved it. Sunsets are magic and all that, but look at these shots. I mean, bright, fabulous blue sky and sunshine.
And LOBSTER? What? Well our officiant, Lisa Bradeen, Florida Keys Wedding Officiant is a long time Florida Keys native, her husband is a bit of a celebrity with his own fishing show on the radio. She is available for these 'Lobster Release' and Sand Ceremonies as well as a host of other options. Recommended Officiant? Yes. Absolutely.
