Beautiful Winter Wedding At The Fort Worth Botanical Garden's Japanese Garden

Today I'm happy to share Mr. & Mrs. Moreno's beautiful winter wedding!

I met the happy couple before the world went nuts! Their original wedding date was set for November, but due to COVID-19, they were forced to reschedule to a few weeks later. The day finally arrived and it was perfect!
The weather was amazing and our portrait location, The Japanese Garden at the Fort Botanical Garden, was gorgeous!

How did you two first meet? What’s your love story?:
Angelique: "We meet through our siblings, the best man and maid of honor. We met at a quinceañera and hit it off. I was 17 years old when I met him and he was 19.
We are both kind of nerdy and we bonded through our similar interest such as art. Being with him felt different from anyone else, because I could be my weird goofball self.
Oscar took me to many places/adventures and in a way, he showed me how beautiful the world was. There is a quote that describes how I felt and still feel about him. "The moment I met him, my life changed. Everything I saw, everything I heard, everything I felt, all the scenery around me... started to take on color." (Your Lie in April).
Oscar has made me the happiest woman for the past 5 years."

When did you get engaged and how?:
Angelique: "We got engaged on October 20, 2019 at Yosemite National Park, California. Oscar took me here as late birthday gift. It is my dream to travel and he made it happen.
Yosemite was filled with autumn colors and fresh cold crisp air. He proposed to on a log along a river that overlooked Half Dome and El Capitan. It was so secluded and peaceful that all you could hear was the water flowing down the stream.
With the amazing view, Oscar insisted that we take photos to capture us with the breathtaking view. As we were taking photos I noticed the timer on the camera want going off. Oscar said to not worry and reassured me by "double checking that it was on." Little did I know Oscar was recording us on camera.
I noticed Oscar looking a little suspicious because he was dangling his feet as we sat on the log together. Then he takes my hand, got down on one knee, and proposed to me. I was so overwhelmed that I jumped on him and knocked him down. We both started laughing and I started crying tears of joy.
I said yes!"
