Downtown Date Night Inspired Engagement Session

Jamie & Paul are one of those couples you get along with like you’ve known them for years. Jamie has a compassionate and sweet spirit. Her personality matches Paul’s quick-witted jokester nature, perfectly. These two love a good pun, and all jokes, clever and corny alike fly between these two. So much laughter made for beautiful natural looking photos!

My wedding photography packages always include a complimentary engagement session. I do this for a list of reasons that could be its own blog post. Anywhoo, when they booked with me, they opted to upgrade to an Adventure Engagement Session. This gave them: two hours of shooting, 3 locations, a couple of outfit changes and all the photos from the shoot! This is a popular choice for many of my bridal couples. It’s a great way to get the most out of your photo session time and make it a real experience.

They let me take the creative in reins choosing photo locations in Chico. The only request Jamie had, was to include a little bit of a building urban vibe, and nature outdoorsy vibe. So we started with a date night theme. The first location was at a local coffee shop called Upper Crust. From there we walked over to B-Street, a local bar & eatery in Downtown Chico. We then made our way over to Bidwell Park for the second half of the session.
