Alison + Isaiah's Micro Wedding In Sacramento

Alison + Isaiah's Micro Wedding In Sacramento
Alison and Isaiah always knew they were meant to be together—or at least Alison always knew! Alison’s junior high crush on Isaiah remained unspoken and therefore unrequited for years. Their families remained close throughout their lives which allowed for these two to develop a deep friendship that blossomed into so much more when the time was right. This couple’s certainty that they are meant to be helped keep them flexible and calm when their wedding shifted due to COVID from their original vision to a micro-wedding at Alison’s parent’s house in Sacramento.
We started Alison and Isaiah’s wedding day by capturing photos of their wedding details and the bride getting ready in her parent’s home. Pictures of Alison and her siblings were all around the house. These old memories surrounding everyone felt so special as Alison’s bridesmaids helped her get ready to marry Isaiah.
Alison and Isaiah did a first look at an irrigation facility turned park around the block from Alison’s parent’s home. The impromptu location turned out to be a beautiful backdrop for this special moment. After the first look, we took bridal party photos at the park and then it was time to head back to the house for the ceremony.
The backyard of the Zuris’ home was transformed into a ceremony site. A wooden arch adorned with a floral centerpiece stood at the end of a short aisle. Isaiah’s brother served as the ceremony’s officiant and both Isaiah’s and Alsion’s siblings made up a large part of their bridal party. The connection between the bride and groom’s families as a whole made the day feel even more intimate. Vows were given, rings were exchanged, and with a kiss, Alison and Isaiah officially became husband and wife!
After the ceremony, the bride and groom took photos with their families at the ceremony site. Everyone then moved inside to share a meal and raise a glass to the new Mr. and Mrs. A few happy tears and tons of laughter were shared during the toasts. The party was then moved back outside to the twinkle light lined patio where Alison and Isaiah shared their first dance and then danced with their families.
We ended the day with sunset photos of Alison and Isaiah along a quiet bike path outside the house. Working with these two was such a dream. They were so flexible and stayed calm through all the last minute changes. They just have so much love for each other and it radiates through the images captured of their wedding day.
