As weddings are re-invented to be smaller, more intimate affairs, the “getting ready” is also getting re-imagined. A handful of Mexicos top wedding vendors came together at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, to inspire a ‘new normal’ for wedding mornings. Luxe and laid back, fewer guests and bridal party allow more time for the bride to indulge in the moments before walking down the aisle and capture beautiful images along the way.
Luxury bridal Make up artist Zoë Elizabeth styled this shoot referencing her favorite minimalist style and beauty blogs. “The getting ready is often rushed through and overlooked as an important part of the wedding day when really it sets the tone for everything to come. We wanted to show a bride enjoying the morning, taking the time to reflect, journal, and be present.”
The Presidential Suite at Grand Velas Riviera Maya provided the perfect backdrop. From the private plunge pool overlooking the Caribbean Sea to the neutral and soothing color palette of the rooms, the hotel embodies the laid back luxury vibe at the heart of this shoot.
