There’s something so timeless about a summer wedding by the water, especially when it’s surrounded by soft blooms and the gentle shimmer of Lake Washington. Jen and Kevin were married at The Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland, a venue that already feels like a hidden garden tucked right along the waterfront, with hydrangeas blooming around every corner.
Their floral vision was all about romance and softness, with delicate pastel tones and draping greenery that brought a fairytale-like air to the day. For their florals, I designed with peach lisianthus, pink phlox, peach scabiosa, apricot cosmos, and quicksand roses a combination that felt graceful and light. My favorite detail was Jen’s colorful bouquet, dancing with sweet peas. It felt playful, romantic, and full of fluttery texture.
What made this day especially memorable for me was the couple themselves. Jen and Kevin were so kind and easy to talk to, and our connection felt effortless from the start. Since The Woodmark is such an intimate venue, we kept seeing each other throughout the morning as I set up. It was incredibly special to catch glimpses of their reactions in real time and to see their faces light up as the florals came together. Moments like that remind me why I love what I do.
