PLEASE READ CAREFULL ITS LONG ,BUT ITS TRUE!
Just like every couple ,we were dreaming of a beautiful wedding in Crete, Greece.
We visited the Island previously and fell in love with it. At the time when we came across Luxury Weddings in Crete by Vasiliki, her reviews we ok. After submitting a request we got contacted relatively quickly.
This all started in September 2024.
We were easily promised about everything we asked for.
Quickly after few conversations, we were told we have to pay 50% deposit- to book Vendors , Venue and including her fee.
We made a money transfer (we live in US).
We had specific requirements for the villa and Vasiliki couldn't find anything even close to it. After multiple offers - overpriced and not suitable for our taste, we decided to find a Venue villa on our own. And we did. We found the perfect one!
We requested receipts showing Vendors have been booked for the venue multiple times and never got even single one.
Moving on, by January we did not have any information about vendors (names , contact info).
We have been going back and forth with the florist who didn't speak any English. We were told that the decorations we asking for will cost a lot! It sounded a lot for sure! The florist wasn't even sure if she can make this.
Moving along ...it's March already. Still no receipts, no Vendors.
I got to the point that is important to look great on my wedding and didn't feel comfortable to trust Vasiliki at this point.
I contacted a different make up artist and she was extremely helpful. I told how I feel about Vasiliki and her "services".
She told me that nobody in Greece get larger deposit than 50 -100 euro and fully paid on the wedding day.
We contacted most of the vendors I got referral from my new friend - the make up artist and everyone was very professional and prompt.
Pleasure to communicate with.
Also we learned that she owes money to vendors from previous weddings for a year.
Only few months before the wedding we sent her a termination letter saying that she failed to provide service she signed for (per contract).
We demanded a full refund which she agreed to, but never sent.
I knew even if we let her handle just the ceremony itself it would have been a disaster.
We lost a lot of money as of now, but had the best wedding we could wish for. I wouldn't leave any star if applicable.

Our wedding day was everything we had ever dreamed of, and we owe it all to Vasiliki and the incredible team at Luxury Wedding. From the very first meeting, Vasiliki made us feel like we were in the best hands. She listened to our ideas, understood our vision, and worked tirelessly to bring it to life in the most beautiful way possible.

Vassiliki is totally unprofessional. Whatever could go wrong at my daughters wedding did. Including no lights on outdoor night dance floor. She was totally disorganized - the requests given were not followed- welcome drinks wrong, service people inexperienced, food overpriced, flowers overpriced, - she is also a thief....I requested invoices from the vendors, but of course have not received yet. Bride arrived late at wedding because the car could not get to her, we were on our own and had to figure it out. Fans at ceremony had wrong initials. Items needed at the ceremony were forgotten by Vassiliki necessitating. further delay.
"everything will be fine"- NOT FINE. We requested to have big enough PREMIUM bar to handle guests, there was a 4 foot bar with inexperienced waiters. Not even lime was available for the premium bar, they did not even have a bottle opener. Vassiliki s a lot of talk, but is AN AMATEUR-DO NOT USE HER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. She charged a lot of money for each thing ordered, including chairs, dishes, overpriced and she definitely received HUGE kickbacks. Will proceed in my quest to get the information I need otherwise turning to legal actions.
