When my husband and I decided to host a party in Italy, I went straight to google to find a good planner - because we live in California, and wanted to work with someone who was fluent in the language.
I met with a few different planners, in early summer 2024, and Ilaria, from Italian Event Planners, really stood out to me. She was friendly, personable, and made me feel like she and her team could make our dreams a reality.
We decided to move forward with Italian Event Planners because they offered the most customizable planning options and had great communication styles.
We exchanged many emails back and forth, as well as phone calls and WhatsApp messages, describing our vision for the event. Ilaria was a great resource in the initial stages of planning - sending us venue options to look at and outlining the various pros and cons of each based on what we wanted.
My husband and I decided to make a trip to Italy for vacation and to scope out venues before making any big decisions. We coordinated with IEP to spend a few days in Tuscany touring venues that they had shared with us online.
After some travel mishaps, we made it to Tuscany where Ilaria and Annachiara picked us up from the train station and drove us all over Tuscany. We were able to tour about 6 sites. They were the most gracious hostesses - driving us around, treating us to lunch, and building a friendship that will last forever.
We found the perfect venue for our party, that quickly turned into 3 events, and then we were off to the races. Booking a band, a photographer, hair & make up, and all of the other details that go along with a big event.
The party weekend arrived, and once Ilaria and Annachiara showed up we knew that everything was going to be handled with great care! They were professional, great resources, and handled all of the details so that we could enjoy the weekend with our friends and family - from putting the welcome gifts into the guest rooms, to coordinating the payment of the vendors, to decorating the spaces, to driving us between the events and our room, to stringing bistro lights (or as they call them: “Fairy lights”) over the family style dinner table where we hosted our main event - the list goes on! (They also brought the world’s best fixer, Antonio!)
The three days were pure magic, a dream come true that neither of us knew we had dreamt. It was so special, and the event wouldn’t have been so beautiful, run so seamlessly, been such a success without the help of the Italian Event Planners team.
I would trust them with any event that I host in the future - Italy or anywhere! Ilaria and Annachiara have become part of our family and look forward to more events in our future!
We had a great experience working with Italian Event Planners for our wedding in June. Each time we were in Italy for viewings or meetings, they went above and beyond by showing us venues, arranging meetings with suppliers and being present throughout the entire process. They are very well respected in Ravello where we got married and all the suppliers spoke highly of them, too. Their communication was excellent, and they responded to messages straight away which helped us feel relaxed during the process. We would highly recommend them for any weddings in Italy.
Where do I begin?? Planning a wedding abroad can be daunting, my husband Gareth and I had no idea what to do or what to expect. After exchanging a few emails with Serena at Italian Event Planners I was 100% sure these were the planners for us, they made us feel relaxed and even though our wedding was 2 years away, they still answered all our questions promptly despite how busy they must of been.
After initially speaking with Serena I was then introduced to Ilaria who would be taking care of our wedding plans. I felt an instant connection with Ilaria through her bubbly, happy and detailed emails.
Ilaria was FANTASTIC and so passionate about her role in organising our dream wedding. Over a period of two years, we exchanged many many emails, texts and phone calls to discuss every last detail, and I couldn’t of been happier with the service the whole team provided, especially Ilaria!
Ilaria took care of every single detail and I felt like the calmest bride in the whole world. The build up to the wedding was so relaxed and we have Ilaria to thank for that, nothing was ever too much trouble!
Ilaria shared our vision of our special day, and did her very best to achieve this for us by coordinating with vendors and keeping us updated with new updates or changes.
When we met Ilaria and Serena a month before the wedding at our menu tasting we knew instantly we had made the best choice in wedding planners. We had an instant connection and felt like family. They came prepared with all the details I had sent and helped us communicate with the owners of the venue to ensure every single detail of the setting and food was counted for. We instantly felt relaxed and excited for our wedding.
The IEP team met us the day before our wedding at the town hall, and we sat down afterwards over lunch to go through some last minute details.
Our wedding day was perfect and all the services the vendors provided were absolutely spectacular, even better than we had imagined! Our guests were blown away and said they have never experienced anything like it before. Ilaria and Serena were with us from start to finish, right up until the last of our guests left. All our guests said how amazing they were at their job. They helped myself and my bridesmaids in to our dresses, helped look after the flower girls and page boys (5 little ones to keep an eye on), and made sure I arrived on time. They also made sure every guests made their way back to the wedding reception by boat after the ceremony, and helped get the party started after dinner by dancing with our guests!
IEP now feel like our family and they hold a special place in our hearts forever. They truly played a big part in the run up to our wedding and on our wedding day. Gareth and myself will always be forever grateful for everything they did for us and our guests, and we hope to see them again on our next trip to Italy.

I used Italian Event Planners for my wedding this past May. They were really fantastic! I was a bit worried as I was planning it from the US and didn't arrive in Italy until two days before the wedding. Serena and Ilaria were amazing!! They were very collaborative and helped work across countries and languages (my husband's family is Italian) - I highly recommend them to anyone looking to plan a wedding in Italy. They were able to deliver an amazing experience while also working with us on budget, specific requests etc. In the end, we were really able to blend American and Italian cultures and our wedding was more magical than I could have imagined. From the UK and IEP created the best week of our lives
After deciding to get married abroad and already in love with Italy it was the easiest decision to make the destination. Then I found the dream location only to find it was booked on the day we so desperately wanted. We couldn’t compromise on the day so I came across Ilaria at IEP and it was the miracle we needed. Not only did she secure the venue but also the date ‘which I was told was not possible’!
Initially, with only a small insight into myself and my husband and a great connection Ilaria and the team new what I wanted and captured everything we wanted to achieve.
The team at IEP were great, and who would have thought planning a wedding abroad could be more fun than stress! Ilaria was great, with constant contact, motivation, beautiful words and encouragement it was shame when it was over.
Ilaria and Serena did not just plan the wedding day but helped organise all my guest transport and all the events I wanted to plan for the whole week! From stag and hen nights to gorgeous meals with local restaurants.

The team of IEP - Serena and Ilaria - were exceptional in following us for the organization of our three-day destination wedding in Sardinia.
They followed us for all the months leading up to the big day with extreme courtesy and responsiveness.
They were available 24/7 and not only took the time to really understand what exactly we wanted, they were also friendly and understanding - especially in times of potential stress in the days before the ceremony.
We feel that theybecame for us real personal friends and advisors and not just event organizers.
They proved to have very good taste for the choice of venues, suppliers and decorations and they demonstrated attention to every detail.
We were particularly impressed to see, along the three days, that everything was in place even better than we expected, from lighting to transport arrangements for 110 people, to music and flowers.
On top of the ceremony and reception, they managed to organize two amazing events the day before (yacht party) and after (post-wedding brunch on the beach). They really helped us to finalize the whole three-day weekend from A to Z.
