Sun & Sparrow specializes in fine art, fairytale photography and adore naturally inspired whimsical imagery. When we can combine candid and organic moments with your truest forms of love, we find that THAT is where the magic in our photography comes to life. It is our team’s desire to capture each and every one of your intimate moments and turn them into a true-life fairytale STORY to share with your loved ones for generations to come.
Being fine art, fairytale photographers means that we take the time to be inspired while we visually tell THE story of your love. One of the most important parts of our process is to personally connect with you and know your story. We want you hear your voice so that you feel confident in our artistry. Your natural love and connection should come alive in every photo, telling a beautiful story that only you can tell. Loving others is what makes our whole lives worthwhile.
Sun & Sparrow was created by two sisters, Tiffani Matsuura and Ellie Fuqua. We are best friends and both principal photographers. Born and raised in Southern California, we reside in the greater Los Angeles area. While we share many things, the greatest thing we share is our love of family and passion for fine art, fairytale photography. When we’re not capturing life’s most beautiful moments, we are currently growing our own families in Los Angeles.

Sun & Sparrow were amazing to work with, from the initial consultation to our engagement photos to our wedding day! They were professional and really excited to make the day special for us.
I wasn't one of those girls who had a clear vision of "their big day" but I just knew that I really loved Sun & Sparrow's use of light, attention to detail, their ability to catch natural/candid shots and their overall romantic style based on an initial review of their website. Upon meeting Tiffani for consultations, I was immediately put at ease - she was able to ascertain what we wanted in our photos and also use her experience (and plenty of patience since we were so clueless!) to guide us on selecting an engagement photo venue, putting together a photo timeline for the wedding day and on the actual wedding day.
We were so thrilled that we found Tiffani and Ellie on the day of our wedding. They brought another girl with them on the wedding day and I'm so so sorry that I don't remember her name right now - the three of them were absolutely amazing and on point. The three of them guided us and made us feel comfortable enough to not only listen to their suggestions to get the shots that they felt that we would love (including those golden hour pictures!) ... but just as importantly, I was able to tell them the things that I DIDN'T like/want as well, without feeling like I had to hold back.
Working with Sun & Sparrow really captured everything we wanted for our engagement photos and our wedding photos - I can't recommend them enough!

These ladies are amazing! The whole team works so well together and helps make engagement and wedding day photos flow so smoothly. I was so impressed with how they coordinated everything. Every time I talked with Tiffany she made me feel so relaxed and excited for the big day. I would use them again in a heart beat. Such quality work with such wonderful people. I cannot compliment them enough.
