Chasing Chickadees Photography is a husband and wife team based in the Monterey Bay area. The owner and lead photographer, Alicia, is a professional photographer who has a fine arts degree concentrating in photography. She has over 15 years of experience, working with every type of photography. Alicia loves to capture the spirit of people in portraits and weddings the most.
Her background in science studying birds and life working on ranches and with wildlife gives her work a flair with nature and landscape. Whether photographing baby birds or capturing the love and passion between two humans, her heart and soul are always with her behind the lens.
Working within the field of weddings is her jam! From the planning to the details to the big day, she is there beyond a photographer to make sure you can sit back and ENJOY your wedding. Her fun energy will put you and your wedding party at ease and delight you with vibrant, joyous, and timeless photos capturing your love story. Alicia and her husband, Keith, will keep your wedding day extraordinary, beautiful, and fun!

Alicia with Chasing chickadees Photography is hands down The best photographer we could ever ask for!!!!! She is extremely creative and talented in captured memories for us that will last a lifetime. You can't do better than the Chasing Chickadees team for your wedding photographer! Alicia was on it from the get go - by the time a set of photos needed to be taken, she already had a game plan. A lot of her ideas were personalized for us, or set up to showcase the special details that I wanted to be emphasized (in my case, mainly our beautiful outdoor venue). It was really fun doing the posed photos, and the rest of the time, I trusted Alicia to capture the day! My favorites are our posed mushy couple photos, our individual all-dressed-up photos, and the moments from the dance floor. A lot of those favorites were also captured by Keith, the second shooter - he also has a great eye and a lot of fun, creative ideas. It's clear from the finished product (and knowing how many originals there were!) that Alicia put a ton of time and care into choosing the best shots and processing them beautifully. I absolutely treasure my wedding photos and would recommend Alicia 100%!
