The Truman

Originally built in the 1930s, The Truman features a large main hall, separate bar & lounge at the main entrance, open air patio, and second story VIP area that overlooks the main room and stage while offering views of downtown Kansas City. The Truman can accommodate a range of uses that include: charity events, concerts, trade shows, weddings and corporate conferences.
With a standing room capacity of 1,200 and over 10,000 sq ft, The Truman can entertain parties of up to 264 in formal banquet seating and 420 in a theater arrangement. The versatile, open floor design is accented with exposed brick walls, a lofty steel beam ceiling, and polished concrete bars your guests are guaranteed love.

We are now offering an intimate wedding and event package for groups up to 40 people! Amenities included are a full 8 hour rental of the The Bearing Bar, private bar staff, beer and wine package, and basic in house production. There are also optional add ons so you can customize your package to fit all your needs. Additional add ons include, but are not limited to: extra hours, live music booking and/or production, projector rental, and additional alcohol packages.
