Reading Farms Estate lies in the heart of the Green Mountains of Vermont. The Estate is a completely private, a 400 acres gated estate with over 5 private miles of manicured hiking trails, minutes away from the lovely town of Woodstock.
Owned by the Gallowhur and Scripps family for over a century, the residence boasts a rich architectural, social and cultural past with former guests including Coco Chanel and Laurance Rockefeller.

Our vast and intimate landscapes are surrounded by private vistas of 3 large ponds, meadows, green forested hills, gardens and our stunning 150 year old maple tree alley. Perfect to be enjoyed by 2 guests or 3,000 wedding guests. 
The estate sleeps 46 people throughout the newly renovated interiors and provides an eclectic art collection, modern comforts and historic elegance. 
Guests are often found enjoying themselves by the pool, library, theater, full gym, private hiking trails, bonfire, spa and even landing on our private helipad. What all of our guests truly enjoy the most, is the serene and peaceful privacy the estate naturally provides.
