Founded in 1977, the building’s timeless elegance radiates from its historic woodwork accents, twin vaulted ceilings, and hand-finished wood floors. Magic and memories are made in its many available spaces: three beautiful art galleries, a jewel box theater, a lush courtyard, a spacious conference room, and a multi-purpose art studio. Rentals of twelve hours also include access to state-of-the-art projection and sound equipment, tables and chairs, dressing rooms, and more! It’s all yours at The Pump House. The Pump House Regional Arts Center is a non-profit organization founded in 1977. Housed in a re-purposed municipal waterworks structure, the organization offers a wide range of visual and performing arts opportunities that utilize the venue’s theater, 3 art galleries, classroom, pottery studio, and meeting areas. Twin vaulted wood ceilings and historic woodwork accent the remodeled interior of the fully accessible cultural center.The Pump House Regional Arts Center is home to award winning concerts, drama, exhibits, comedy, films, classes and more. Serving as the anchor of the City of La Crosse Arts District for decades, the center is affectionately known by locals as “The Pump House.” No admission fee is required to visit the galleries. Donations are appreciated.Funding is provided through donations, memberships and sponsorships from individuals and businesses throughout the tri-state region. Further generous support is received from United Fund for the Arts and Humanities, Wisconsin Public Radio, and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.

This 140-seat, 1,400 square foot theater is an intimate
venue for performances, wedding ceremonies, and
other events. Amenities include state-of-the-art sound
equipment, a 14’ screen, and a Steinway grand piano.
130-150 capacity Kader Gallery
The largest exhibition space features 1,500 square
feet of hardwood floors and state-of-the-art lighting.
This exceptional space can be decorated for formal
events or set-up for casual cocktail and social hours,
receptions, and other occasions.
Courtyard
Completed in October 2011, this scenic outdoor
space is great for ceremonies, performances, social
hours, and more. Beautifully landscaped, this great
outdoor space also comes with the assurance of the
indoor venue in the event of inclement weather.

arts. Upon request, The Pump House instructors
provide a customized activity for your events. Projects
can be customized for all age ranges and skill levels.
