Located in the stunning Green Wine region, in the heart of the picturesque Sousa valley, it is one of the oldest houses in the region, belonging to the same family, the Pinto de Mesquita, for generations. With a harmonious façade and impressive dimensions, Casa de Vila Verde was recognized as a Property of Public Interest by the Portuguese State. Its medieval tower suggests that its construction dates back to the 12th or 13th centuries, being mentioned for the first time during the reign of King Manuel I, between 1469 and 1521. Exploring an agricultural area of about 100 hectares, it has a long tradition in Vinho Verde, with records of its production dating back to the 17th century. XVII.
