FH Weddings

     

When we set out to get married in Merida, we really didn't know where to start and having somewhat blindly picked FH Weddings based on positive reviews online, I was a little nervous about how it would all come together. In short, the entire team at FH Weddings (Flor, Xime, Carmen, Hilda, etc.) is incredible - 10/10 recommend. We worked with them for over a year, and I found them to be incredibly responsive, warm and personable. They pulled of an INSANE wedding, the wedding of our dreams, and I want to share two highlights of this amazing team:

1. When we flew to Merida for a quick wedding planning trip a couple months before the wedding, the team was SO sweet to us - from arranging transportation for us, to helping us exchange money for the best possible rate, to hooking me up with a highly regarded OBGYN (I was pregnant at the time and needed care while traveling).
2. Right before the wedding, my now husband and I decided we really wanted fireworks (even though we had previously declined) and the team made it happen with lightning speed. Not even sure how they pulled this off but literal seconds before my husband walked down the aisle, he made a payment to the fireworks vendor and a few hours later we had the most incredible fireworks display. We still talk about this and the magic they created!

Overall, they made sure the wedding was executed to perfection. They were so attentive, not only to us personally but to the very specific details we requested for the event. We had so many people come up to us and say it's the best wedding they'd ever been to!

DO NOT hesitate to work with them. If you speak Spanish, that's a plus, but it is certainly possible to work with them even if you don't.

Two final thoughts: 1) I miss them. You build a really close relationship when you're working together on such a special moment for over a year. 2) Their rates are insanely low for the level of service you're getting. Xime & Flor if you're reading this take note ;)

We have to give a special shoutout to each member of the team who made this possible. Carmen was incredible, her attentiveness was unlike anything we could have hoped for. She remembered everything, every conversation, every preference, every little wish we expressed along the way, and made sure it was all reflected in the final result. The care and intention she put into every single detail of our wedding was truly remarkable.

Hilda was amazing at handling the specifics of our ceremony, which was one of the most meaningful parts of our day. Our Catholic ceremony was so important to us, and Hilda worked closely with Tercera Orden to ensure every piece of paperwork and every requirement was taken care of well in advance.

Ximena was a lifesaver when it came to keeping us on track with decisions big and small. When we were overwhelmed trying to choose a hair and makeup vendor, she went above and beyond by creating a comparison chart of all the options we were considering, breaking everything down so we could make a confident, informed decision. That kind of proactive, thoughtful support made the whole planning process so much less stressful.

Flor was also an absolute angel throughout the entire process. Whenever something was on our minds or worrying us, she was always there to talk it through with patience and calmness. Defining the decorations took us a while; it wasn't easy to land on a final vision, but Flor guided us with grace until we found something we all loved. She never made us feel rushed; she simply stayed by our side until everything felt right.

I can honestly say I was not stressed for a single moment on the day of the wedding. I was able to be fully present and soak in every part of the day because I knew, with complete confidence, that everything was being handled. The FH girls who were with me throughout the day were the loveliest, most attentive, making sure I had everything I needed.

It's clear that the FH team genuinely loves what they do, and that passion shows in every interaction and every detail. They are attentive, thoughtful, and deeply invested in the couples they work with. By the end of the process, they weren't just our planners; they became our friends.
