Absolutely the worst wedding planner - she will steal your money, I strongly urge you to STAY AWAY

We were really surprised by the positive feedback Vicky has received, because our experience with her was truly catastrophic and she was the worst wedding planner that we could ever have.

We worked with Vicky for 3 months and it was our biggest and only regret of the wedding planing process. We signed the initial contract with her and paid the 500 euro deposit (which is equivalent to over $600 USD).

During this time, we were in the midst of trying to find our venue and wedding date. After 3 months with her, she requested for us to schedule a video call, and during this call she explained that she had a recent medical diagnosis (my husband and I both thought she was battling cancer because of her tearful demeanor) and needed to terminate our contract and was taking the reminder of the year off from wedding planning. She did not give us back our $600 after she cancelled on us, and proceeded to block me from all social media, which I later found out was because she continued wedding planning and posting images/videos for weddings she continued with. This left us with little time to restart the entire wedding planning process making it extremely difficult and stressful, especially with it being a destination wedding.

We proceeded to ask her for our money back as this was a big expense for us (one that we did not budget for), which to this day she has not returned. She instead told us that she was in fact “doing us a favor” by not requiring us to pay our first installment that was due the week she cancelled on us. It was appalling and disgraceful to find out that she lied about such a thing like a medical illness, and extremely unprofessional that she proceeded to not giving us back our $600 deposit after she cancelled.

For all couples considering working with Vicky, please know that ALL DEPOSITS and PAYMENTS ARE NONREFUNDABLE. She has a very detailed contract that states that regardless of whether you or HER decides to end the contract/agreement, all payments (including deposit), are nonrefundable and she is in fact ruthless enough to cancel at any time and walk away with your money.

In additional to her scamming for money, there were many other things problematic with the collaboration with her:

1. She has a very narrow list of venues that she works with and if you want anything other than these, then you will have to do the work on your own to set up the venue. She strongly pushed us to work with the venues that she “collaborates well with”, and hardly takes no for an answer. We really wanted a wedding on the greek islands, and sent me a list of possible venues, however, made no attempts at setting it up. Instead, all of her efforts were redirected to the few venues (all but 1 are based in Athens) she recommended (that I am 100% sure were those she receives high commission for).

2. For one of the island venues she did “collaborate” with, she reassured me that she was in touch with the owner and when I reached out to the owner of venue myself weeks later, I found out the date was already booked (in fact, all 2023 dates were booked and now only the following year of 2024 dates were available). Vicky was not in touch with the owner and was not handling any of it. It was a mistake trusting her to be responsible for such a vital part of the wedding planning, such as handling the venue.

3. Lastly, her attitude and mannerism is alarming. She is only available via email (not WhatsApp) and likes to be emailed/ only responds during business hours on M-F, which doesn’t really work when you are on different time zones. She reminded us many times that this is the only “professional and unique way for communication” with her couples. She was extremely inflexible and unaccommodating to work with.


We lost many venues and wedding dates because of Vicky, ultimately something that was irreparable. She is irresponsible and dishonest how she navigates through the wedding planning process and her lies and false reassurance is truly ruthless and conniving.

She made an already difficult process, absolutely horrible and the only good thing that came out of it was that we ended up with another wedding planner that was absolutely amazing and planned the dream wedding for us that Vicky would have NEVER been able to put together.

People like Vicky truly give the wedding industry a bad reputation and make the process gruesome for newly weds going through it. There are many great wedding planners in Greece and she is definitely not one of them.
