Philip Thomas Photography

I'm a Brit in San Antonio, Texas, and I have always been passionate about art, especially drawing, painting, and photography. I've been practicing photography for years and learned a lot from amazing mentors, refining my craft heavily influenced by photojournalism. I spent a lot of time in darkrooms developing rolls of film and dragging prints through chemicals. Nowadays, I still shoot film on a Leica M3 and M6, but I send my rolls to the lab. In the U.K., I worked as a news photographer covering local stories and sports, managed a studio, and traveled extensively in my twenties and early thirties. When I moved to the U.S.A., I transitioned to shooting model portfolios and headshots. However, I quickly realized that shooting weddings was my true passion. The decisive moments and emotional resonance of each wedding captured my heart, and I became a storyteller from the heart.
