Nicole Canegata is a luxury lifestyle and destination photographer born, raised, and based in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. With over a decade of photography experience, Nicole specializes in destination weddings + elopements, engagement + anniversary sessions, family portraits, and special events. Her wedding photography style encompasses a fine art editorial, contemporary and photo-journalistic approach. Nicole takes joy in connecting with her clients upon meeting and creating a positive, fun, and comfortable photo experience to capture the most genuine and candid moments. She strives to produce imagery that her clients will love and cherish for all time; illustrating the emotional connection, beauty, romance, and wonderful details experienced on their special day. Nicole has photographed countless destination weddings for couples; from intimate elopements to lavish and fun-filled wedding parties in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the U.S. mainland: New Hampshire & Arizona, and abroad, from the beautiful Algarve Coast of Portugal to the enchanted isle of Sri Lanka.

In the wedding world, Nicole was voted by The Virgin Islands Daily News, Reader's Choice: "Best Wedding Photographer of the Virgin Islands” for the last two years, and has been awarded the Wedding Wire "Couple's Choice Award" the last four years in a row. In November 2018, Nicole had the pleasure of photographing award-winning, country singer, Brett Young and his beautiful wife, Taylor Mills Young while on their honeymoon in St. Croix, and her photos were published in Inspirato Magazine's Winter/Spring 2019 issue.

An adventurer and traveler at heart, Nicole has visited 6 continents, 58 countries, and over 190 cities across the globe. She is an avid reader, and when not shooting on location or editing her life away, you can find Nicole at the barre (Barre Fitness that is), on her yoga mat, at the beach, or playing with her puppy, Lily.
