About
Cat is a storyteller at heart. She creates wedding images and videos in an editorial, story-telling fashion. Her background is as a newspaper and magazine photojournalist, writer and video producer. She launched her Vermont wedding photography business in 2005 and has been a Vermont wedding photographer since 2011. Her documentary-style approach captures your story as it actually unfolds not through a pre-scripted lens. Her photos and films are honest, unscripted and individualistic. In her day-to-day life, Cat really doesn't go anywhere without her camera. She is both a romantic and a nostalgic--kind of a magic bullet for a wedding photojournalist.  Cat's wedding photojournalism has been featured on national blogs like Wedding Chicks, The Knot, Offbeat Bride, and Rustic Wedding Chic as well as magazines like Vermont Bride Magazine and Vermont Vows. Her bi-coastal career began in NYC and led her to San Francisco. Cat has worked as a street fashion photo-columnist for New York Press, a newspaper photojournalist for amNewYork, TimesLedger Newspapers and Half Moon Bay Review, and a magazine writer and photographer for Half Moon Bay Magazine and Pacifica Magazine in SF Bay Area.
Cat graduated from Tulane University in New Orleans in 2002 with a BA in English, studied photojournalism at Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, CA, and earned her Master’s degree in Multimedia Communications with an emphasis on video journalism from Academy of Art University in San Francisco in 2011.  She lives in South Burlington, Vermont, with her husband, Artist Ross Sheehan, and their kids, Remy and Bo. She is originally from New Hampshire and grew up on Lake Winnipesaukee. She serves the entire state of Vermont as a wedding photographer and wedding videographer and will travel throughout New England and New York.
