Hi there I’m Margaret! I’m the owner and lead photographer + videographer at Aspen & Co. Photo + Film! I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and I am currently based there and in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. I have over 5 years of photography experience shooting a variety of weddings + elopements! My style of photography/videography is candid, raw, in the moment, timeless and romantic. I aim to capture the authentic moments of your wedding/elopement and live in the moment of your wedding day with you while I have my camera in hand!

I was first introduced to photography when I was 13 years old. At that age I was the main photographer for our middle school’s yearbook which prompted my parents to invest in a camera for me after seeing how passionate I was about it. Shortly after that, my cousin got married and let me be a part of capturing their wedding photos alongside the photographers they hired. Once I had the opportunity to do that and got a glimpse of what was possible when I got the chance to create with my camera, everything aligned for me and I knew photography held a unique place in my life.  

After doing weddings in Chicago for my first two years in the industry, I started branching out more into destination weddings and intimate weddings/elopements abroad after routinely spending more time in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico. When opportunities started expanding in Mexico I quickly learned how much of a passion I had for capturing weddings/couples abroad, specifically in the Caribbean. It wasn't long after that I decided I wanted to focus on destination weddings + elopements solely.
I am currently booking out weddings for Playa Del Carmen, Mexico (and surrounding areas) along with the Caribbean for 2023-2024. I am still available in Chicago and my associate team is based there as well!
