Wedding Ceremonies by Heather

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Getting to know them, little quirks about them, the story of how they met, what makes them tick, what they absolutely hate and love, what they love about their significant other and understanding their level of commitment to one another.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I actually have a M.A.Ed. So am I well-versed in writing speeches, experienced in public speaking, and very fond of the legal aspects of marriage as my undergraduate degree was in Political Science.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your service? If so, please share the details here.

I do and the packet can be emailed to you upon inquiry.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

One of my closest friends asked me to officiate her wedding since I had a lot of experience with public speaking. She was having a large wedding and needed someone who wouldn't be afraid to speak in front of all of those people. It was a wonderful experience and something that I truly fell in love with.

What types of customers have you worked with?

I've had couples together for years or short periods of time, couples who were young and older, couples who had large weddings and those that were elopements.

Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

This is somethings completely unrelated, but I have a five year old and wanted to be active with his school PTO so I took on a chair position of an event starting a month into the school year with a brand new school in a brand new town and state. It was exhilarating.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Ask a lot of questions, make sure if fits into your budget, and find someone that meshes well with you.

What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

If they're comfortable with whatever you are wanting to include in your ceremony. It can be anything from something spiritual to a special reading to something completely unique. You want your day to be what you want, and you want to ensure that your officiant can do that for you.
