Left Coast Quintet

Fun, unique, and classy. Those are words we hear again and again from couples who choose the Left Coast Quintet for their wedding day.

Based in San Diego and performing throughout Southern California, the Left Coast Quintet (LCQ) brings a fresh approach to live wedding music. Our signature wind quintet features flute, oboe, clarinet, French horn, and bassoon, creating a warm, colorful sound that is elegant enough for a beautiful ceremony but versatile enough to have a lot of fun once the celebration gets going. We also offer our smaller Left Coast Trio for couples looking for a more intimate ensemble.

We believe wedding music should feel like you. Our repertoire includes hundreds of selections spanning classical favorites, jazz standards, Broadway, pop, rock, Disney and Pixar, movie and television soundtracks, video game music, and plenty of unexpected favorites. One moment we might be playing Bach or Debussy, and the next Taylor Swift, Elvis, ABBA, or a theme from a favorite film. We especially love helping couples incorporate music that means something to them, including special requests whenever possible.

LCQ can provide a complete musical soundtrack for your celebration, beginning with welcoming prelude music as guests arrive and continuing through processionals, ceremony moments, recessional, cocktail hour, and beyond. We work closely with couples and planners to coordinate timing and musical selections so everything flows naturally on the wedding day.

Since 2014, we've performed at weddings and celebrations throughout Southern California, from oceanfront ceremonies and garden weddings to historic estates, resorts, wineries, rooftops, ballrooms, and some wonderfully unexpected places. Our acoustic setup also allows us to perform in locations where amplification or electrical access may be limited.

Most importantly, we're easy to work with. We know couples already have plenty to coordinate, so our goal is to make the music one of the fun parts of planning. Whether you already have every song picked out or have absolutely no idea where to begin, we'll help you create music that fits your ceremony, your personalities, and the atmosphere you want for your celebration.
