Kate Brittenham, Folk Harpist


Kate Brittenham has been playing the harp for 17 years, both in the United States and abroad. Playing predominantly folk music from the Celtic Isles, she has performed at special events such as weddings, as well as public concerts in nursing homes, libraries, and hospitals. She has also performed in both an airport terminal and an Irish castle. 

She has studied with a number of instructors over the years: Lisa Tannebaum, Karen Colin, Lois Colin (http://www.loiscolin.com/), and with Elizabeth Huntley (http://www.emhuntley.com/) while attending Skidmore College. Kate received her Bachelor of Arts from the college in May 2014.
Additionally, Kate spent 5 months studying traditional Irish harp at the University College Cork in Cork City, Ireland.

Kate is available as for private events such as weddings & ceremonies, receptions, funerals & wakes, cocktail hours, and church services. She also offers private lessons.
