The Boston Common band is an absolutely LEGENDARY group. They captured our vibe from the first phone call, all the way up to the moment we were practicing our first dance before hitting the reception. Emily and the Boston Common Band were thoughtful, and cared about every last detail going right. They know how to throw a major party, from synchronizing their dance moves, to hitting the highest highs. They delivered on all fronts: incredible vocals, energetic dance choreography. They provided beautiful timing with ceremony music, smooth cocktail jams, and even hype dj mixing for an after party. Prior to the day, Emily spent time with us doing event planning to coordinate with the venue, and set up their amazing sound systems and epic lighting in between cocktail hour and reception. My wife and I couldn’t believe how well they brought down the roof–they are a one-of-a-kind talent, and we couldn’t recommend them enough for your wedding. If you choose to hire them for your event, you are guaranteed a party of a lifetime!

     

Boston Common Band, where do we even begin? Hands down: best. decision. we. made. Boston Common Band is unlike any other wedding band I have seen or heard. From their tight knit harmonies, talent, personality, choreography, to their music selections - these musicians are absolute professionals. I have heard from many guests that this was the best wedding band they've ever experienced. They learned two songs for us, one of them being a special father/daughter dance where my dad and I joined in with harmonicas on "Piano Man." My friends keep referring to this night as the "best concert they ever went to" and I whole heartedly agree. They were one of the only bands we found during the search process who had videos of them singing live and that's because they are ALWAYS PHENOMENAL. My husband and I met doing musical theater, so music was immensely important to us. This band delivered. Boston Common did our AV for the ceremony and it was perfection. Emily even made a silence your phones announcement for us before the ceremony began. They also performed during cocktail hour and I received so many compliments on their song selections. Emily doubled as a vocalist/DJ, but also as a coordinator. She kept us on TIME and she always kept me in the loop. She acted as the MC for the evening, welcoming our guests, dropping jokes, and introducing toasts and speeches flawlessly. We are so grateful to Boston Common Band for everything they did for us. The portal that they used during the planning process is awesome and allowed us to input our timeline, do-not-plays, must-plays, and contact information for vendors. I appreciated their organization immensely and Emily is QUICK to respond via email. The final meeting was our favorite meeting. We had a call with Emily who had us cracking up laughing and got us super excited for the big day. Thank you for putting your heart and soul into our special day. It's clear that while you are talented and passionate, you make your bride and grooms feel as though their wedding is the only one. You cultivated the perfect vibe and the happiest and most FUN day of our entire lives. I will never get over how packed our 30'x30' dance floor was (and that is a BIG dance floor). Thank you, thank you!

     

Boston Common Band was honestly the best part of our wedding. They completely blew us (and our guests) away. I can’t even count how many people came up to us saying this was the best band they’ve ever seen at a wedding. We wanted the dance floor full until the very last song, and they 100% delivered.

Emily, the lead singer, is amazing. She’s so fun and kind, and she brought such incredible energy to the night. She made it feel personal, like she was celebrating right alongside us, and her voice is unreal.

What I really loved was how the band listened to our song requests but also added in their own ideas and put their own spin on songs we love. It never felt like a cookie-cutter wedding playlist—it felt like a live show designed just for us.

If you’re on the fence about booking them, don’t be. They made our wedding unforgettable and gave us the exact vibe we wanted. Truly, they’re worth every single penny.

     

We could not have asked for a better band! From the very first Zoom call with Emily, we knew Boston Common Band was the one. Unlike others we had interviewed, Emily was prepared, professional, and even broke into a Frank Sinatra song mid-call as an example for cocktail hour—we were blown away and booked them on the spot.

Leading up to the wedding, Emily’s communication was flawless. When I decided last minute to change my daddy-daughter dance song, I was nervous it would be a huge hassle. But Emily didn’t even flinch and made the switch effortlessly.

On the wedding day, from start to finish, they were AMAZING. It was the kind of party we had always dreamt of—interactive, fun, and full of energy. My nieces and nephews will never forget singing into the microphones with the band members, and at the very end, they even came back out for an encore!

Our guests are still talking about it, saying things like:
“Wow, that felt like a rock concert!”
“To be honest, that was better than my own wedding.”
“Best wedding ever!”

Boston Common Band made our day truly unforgettable.

     

Boston Common was absolutely amazing and blew our (high) expectations out of the water. We lost count of how many of our guests made a point to comment on how awesome they were and how they were the best band they had ever seen perform at the wedding. There is nothing they can’t do - everything was incredible: the song selection, the performances, the DJ at the after party and the uplighting. The cherry on the top - choreographed dances!!

They got everyone at the wedding on the dance floor - including our grumpiest of guests; even one of our groomsman who didn’t even dance at his own wedding was out there the whole night!

The party didn’t stop at our wedding - we saw multiple hotel guests dancing 4-6 year on their balconies above our venue, along with some onlookers on the beach!

From signing with Boston Common to booking them, everything was easy and smooth. They made it so simple to plan. Could not recommend them enough!
