Mary Grace basically designed and constructed my wedding dress like a true genius and professional. First, she started with the most important question: fabric and feel of dress. She explained what kind of textile I needed in order to achieve the drape I envisioned. Then we went to a textile supplier and she showed me exactly what to get. Silk and lace, absolutely stunning. She even explained which silk would breathe best and endure longest, given that my wedding was outdoors in August! Then we went to work constructing. Mary Grace listened to my ideas, but boldly urged me to be open minded about "making it more of what I wanted", which included making a dress that looked great on ME. The initial design was an underlining inspiration, but the product is definitely the result of a process and evolution thanks to Mary Grace's brilliance, confidence in her own work and competency in making it happen (at every stage, incredible!). My dress was definitely the best thing about my wedding, and I am proud to be a bride whose dress truly stole the show (in a good way!). Since she made my dress, I have seen similar designs and attention to detail and tailoring emerge, and I am convinced that Mary Grace definitely influences trends despite her status as independent designer. Her dress (separates) is the most professional and high-quality item in my wardrobe, despite my decade spent living and shopping in Rome, Italy. She's someone whose work is destined for the runway...
