With 26 years of wedding and event planning experience, Alchemy Events, led by owner Rena Sweeney, provides full-service luxury planning and design from our home base in New Orleans, producing events for clients around the world who are looking for something truly unique. We specialize in multicultural weddings and destination events, with particular expertise planning weddings throughout Europe, including Prague, Czech Republic. Rena has planned Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, Muslim, and interfaith celebrations, among others. Named one of Peerspace's Top 5 Event Planners in New Orleans, which said "no planner in the Gulf South brings more multicultural depth and understanding than Rena Sweeney." Featured in publications including Brides, The Knot, Southern Bride, Maharani Weddings, and more, Rena only accepts a limited number of clients per year to ensure each couple receives her full, personal attention from start to finish.

About Rena:

Rena has worked with weddings, private events, corporate & non-profit clients for over two decades during which time she has both owned her company & also been the in-house coordinator for several New Orleans venues. She has also consulted on the building, design & staff training for another local venue. Rena was the Creative Director for NOW Weddings magazine for several years & serves on the board of the Humane Society of Louisiana.
